"Your parties tomorrow you excited?" Alyssa asks. "Mm hm" I respond scrolling through my phone. "You like that Luke kid dont you?" Alyssa says looking at me. "What?" I exclaim putting my phone down. "You were literally with him for the past two days" Alyssa exclaims loudly. "I was not" I defend. "Oh yeah you were and dont deny it" Alyssa urges. I feel my phone vibrate and see the clinic is calling. "Gotta go" I yell answering the phone as I walk out the door.
Me: Hello?
Nurse: Ah Ms Ramerez, we have your results so if you could come now
Me: already on my way.
"Kayla Ramerez" the nurse announces. "That's me" I respond standing up suddenly feeling dizzy. "Right this way" the nurse says as she points to a small room. "How are you today?" she asks. "Good. My 17th birthday party is tomorrow" I respond. "Oh what fun" she says checking her papers. "Alright so we were able to find a match in DNA" the nurse says flipping through my chart. "Really?" I exclaim loudly. "Yes. Caleb Reitzen" the nurse responds continuing to look through my folders. "Thats great! Does he want to meet me?" I ask suddenly concerned. "He does. But he is in England for the next month so it'd have to be at the end of next month" The nurse explains. "Thats great! Can you email me his email? I really have to get going thank you soo much" I say hugging her than leaving before she could answer.
"Hey" Luke says hugging me when he opens his front door. "I need to talk to you, in private" I say hugging him back. "Okay" he shrugs leading me in to his bedroom. "Are you okay?" He asks sitting down next to me on his bed. "You can't tell anyone Luke" I say. "I wont. I swear on my camera and my life" he responds. "I found out who my dad is" I whisper softly. "Thats great" Luke exlclaims hugging me. "I know. I'm meeting him at the end of next month becuase he's in England" I say happily. "Wow. England? And you found your dad all on your own. I'm so proud to have you as a friend" Luke says softly. I look up at his brown eyes and smile. Before I knew it his lips were on my lips. "Wow" Luke and I whisper at the same time. "I love you" Luke says softly. I feel tears forming in my eyes. "Are you okay??" he asks concerned. "I love you too" I say kissing him again. "Will you be my girlfriend Kayla?" Luke asks softly. "Thought you'd never ask" I respond hugging him.
"What's wrong with you?" Alyssa asks when I walk in the front door. "Nothing just that I have a boyfriend" I respond jumping up and down. "You're dating Luke? AWW" Alyssa shouts jumping up and down. "I know! We even said I love you" I squeal happily. "Tell me all the details" Alyssa says pullling me to the couch.
"Go to bed Girls!" my mom and Aunt yell later that night. "Love you guys" We yell laying down on the floor. "Love you guys" They respond. Quickly I text Luke goodnight.
Me: goodnight bby I love you xxx
Lukey: goodnight babe i love you too
Smiling I put my phone on charge and go to sleep.
