Secrets

There was a little known secret about Virgil, something he refused to talk about and could only be heard by those listening to the darkest shadows of this night. This unspoken fact remained a mystery to all that knew him, although they constantly tried to find out what was being hidden from them, but they had never expected this.

Virgil "Anxiety" Sanders wore sunglasses. He wore them inside and outside (on the rare occasions he left the mindscape, never mind going outside in the real world) if it was even remotely brighter than his unnaturally dark lights.

The discovery was so shocking that they where all left speechless after seeing Virgil, at 5am, sneaking around the kitchen like he was some super spy with white-rimmed sunglasses on.

"Why?" Logic asked as Prince doubled over in laughter, the sight of Anxiety frozen where he stood with his mouth half full of (Morality's) cereal was hilarious to him.

Anxiety mumbled something in response, though the others couldn't make out what he said.

"You look amazing in those, Kiddo!" Morality complemented him, in traditional Morality style, with a bright smile on his face.

"Don't patronise me," Anxiety said as he slowly took the box of cereal out of the cupboard again, maybe if he stuffed his mouth he wouldn't have to answer their questions. His plan failed.

"You didn't answer Logan's question, why are you wearing sunglasses at 5am?" Prince asked after finally recovering from his laughing fit.

"My eyes are really sensitive to light and any sudden change of lighting can gave me a headache, I found that sunglasses lessened the chances of a headache and decided to wear them all the time... or when you guys weren't around anyway," Anxiety explained before shoving a handful of cereal into his mouth and leaving the kitchen.

The others stared at him as he left, his black hoodie blending into the darkness of the corridor, before looking at each other. Prince started laughing again, Morality was beaming at the fact that Anxiety had opened up to them, and Logic.... looked like he normally does, suppressing emotions whilst simultaneously seeming glad.

"Well, his reasoning does make sense," Logan said as he went back into his room, it was too early to deal with two emotional traits on his own.
