The day had come where Cristina had to break the news to her parents that she was leaving behind her current scholarship at the university she was attending, all to move to an expensive city with an adorable, famous Australian she met over Snapchat which she planned on living with, as well as three other strange boys.  Not to mention, she had no set college plans for when she got there or even a clue about where to get a job.

Luke didn't really have any helpful ideas as to how to get her parents to accept it.  The best idea he had was that he would just stand there and sweet talk her mother.  He even offered to buy a stripper for her father, which could have helped the situation honestly.

Here's a quick recap of how that dinner went.

Me, "Mom, dad, I'm moving out to LA with Luke next week."

My father, "The hell you are."

My mother, whilst feeling Luke's biceps, "How many days do you go to the gym?"

My father, in response to my mother, "Honey, are you hearing this?!"

My mother, looking out for my health obviously, "Maybe Luke would be able to get her to the gym, she is looking a little pudgy lately."

My father and myself, feeling a little offended, "Oh my god, Patricia."

My mother, focusing once again on herself, "How's your father looking these days, Luke?"

My father, sick and tired of everything and mostly the fine young man I brought into the house, "Patricia, you're acting like a cougar, get away from him."

Me, still wondering if they're accepting of the idea of throwing away college for the time being and moving to LA, "So, I'll take that as a 'go for it, Cristina, follow your dreams, whatever they may be'?"

My father, still trying to drag my mother off of Luke, "Get out of my house."

Good idea, Luke.  Probably your best one yet.
