Boromir wasn't sure how you would respond to him if he asked for your hand in marriage right there on that little boat. He couldn't wait any longer. He knew on this journey to Mordor, the two of you could end up dying in each other's arms. So he wanted to make the best of it. He smiled faintly at you. "Y/n, could you stand up for just a moment?" he softly asked you, taking hold of your hand. Your eyes widened slightly but you immediately did as you were asked. He held tightly onto your hand so you would not fall as he only smiled more up at you.
"What is it?" you blushed darkly.
"Y/n, I know this is a dangerous journey. Hell, the two of us might not even make it out of this alive," he said.
"Do not say that," you immediately told him.
He chuckled softly. "But I want to ask for your hand in marriage so when we return from Mordor, you and I will become one," he softly said, pulling out a ring that was stored in his pocket. Your eyes grew wide.
"Did you have that ring the whole time?" you let out a soft giggle. He gave you a small nod before you grinned and quickly nodded. "Yes, Boromir . . . I will marry you with your 'keep-the-ring-hidden-for-several-months' proposal," you joked softly, sitting back on the boat as he placed the ring on your finger. He ignored your comment and pressed his lips deeply to yours, smiling faintly at you.
