(I am coming off of the short hiatus for this story only!  I am going to finish this one out and if I really need to, I will take an even longer hiatus for all of my other stories or finish those off one at a time.  Thank you all for reading.)

Thorin stared at you closely with a soft frown on his lips.  He knew what you were saying was true.  He was turning into his grandfather . . . he was turning into his own father.  He was becoming lesser of a dwarven man than he should have been.  He needed to be there for you, but he simply wasn't.

You sat down in front of him and leaned back against a tree stump as you stared at him.  "All I want is for you to hold me like you used to . . . is it that hard to ask?"

He frowned even more.  "No . . . no, it is not that hard to ask.  I am so sorry . . . I should not be like this."  He sat down beside of you and pulled your body close to his.  "I am being selfish.  I am only thinking of myself . . . I will do my best to make it up to you."

"You better . . ."
