It only seemed like poor Frodo Baggins didn't have a choice anymore. He watched his lover as she died in his arms - you were dying in his arms. He pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, a soft frown gracing his lips.

"Frodo . . ." you softly spoke, looking up at the Hobbit.

He tilted his head in response, looking down at you.

You took in a deep breath and gripped onto his arms, forcing yourself to sit up. "When you get to the mountain . . . I need you to get rid of that ring. I need you to let it go, no matter what."

He looked at you for the longest moment before he nodded. "Okay. I . . . I will. I promise," he kissed your forehead once more. You gave him a weak smile.

"Thank you, Frodo."

"Anything for you, my love." He pulled your body close to his, squeezing his eyes shut.
