Sending you a rather annoyed look, Bard crossed his arms over his chest.  "When I said I did not want anything, I was serious," he deeply frowned.  You softly smiled at him, holding out a large, wrapped up Christmas gift.

"Please take it!  I saved my money all year for this . . ."

He watched you for a moment before he hesitantly took the gift.  "I did not get you anything."

"I do not need anything," you softly giggled.  "Please just open it."

Bard did as he was told, slowly unwrapping the brown paper from the box.  He lifted the lid before his eyes grew wide.  Out of the box, he lifted up a winter coat lined with the softest of fur.  He looked up at you, not knowing what to say.

You leaned over and gently kissed his cheek.  "Merry Christmas, my love."
