Your face was filled with curiosity as you watched the two hobbits - being a human, you were taller than both of them. They both knew that. However, the two happened to always see who was taller than the other. You were always amused by their antics.
Silently, you moved to where you could see exactly who was taller. You smiled a bit to yourself, watching them for a moment before you spoke up. "You know, if you really wanted to know who was taller, you could just ask someone," you said.
"Fine!" Merry nodded. "Who is taller? Me? Or Pippin?"
"If I am being honest," you grinned at the two, "I would say that Merry is just slightly taller. You two are both very tall for hobbits."
Pippin gave you a look while Merry grinned, almost in a victorious way. Hopefully, it would give them something else to argue about.
