Chapter: 5

Britney's POV

Matt intertwined our fingers together and I tried to hide my blushing. It didn't work. We walked to the mall Chelsea told us to meet her at. Some girls stared me down, giving me dirty looks or smiling at me. I smiled back.

All of a sudden I felt a foot on my ankle and next thing I know I'm on the ground with dirt on my face.

"Oops. Sorry."The girl said. Matt helped me up and I glanced at her. She was looking at Matt and he was looking back. I looked at her again and she finally snapped out of her day dream. She was slightly smirking at me.

"Sorry. I didn't see you there." She said still smirking.

"Maggie. Stop." I heard Matt tell her.

Wait a minute. They know eachother?

"Who is she?" I asked Matt quietly so she wouldn't hear. "Just a fan. She told me her name while you were on the ground."

While we turned to walk away, Maggie whispers, "Stay away from him. He's mine." I looked over at Matt but he didn't hear it. I ignored her and I caught up with Matt.

We walked in peace the rest of the way to the mall. I saw Chelsea talking to this one girl. She had light, short brown hair with blueish brown eyes. She had her hair in a purple ponytail.

"Brit!" Chelsea screamed and ran to hug me. I let go (not wanting to) of Matt's hand and hugged her back. The girl who she was talking to earlier came up to me. "Hi! My name is Emma." She told me. "Hey! I'm Britney." I replied. "I love your shir-" she stopped and looked at Matt. "OMG! You're Matt Espinosa!"

"Yeah that's me." He said smiling. Chelsea broke the silence by saying," Hey. Um. Earth to Britney."

"What? Oh sorry." I said. "You okay? You were kind of lost in Matt's eyes there for a sec." She whispered and I blushed.

"So! Let's get shopping shall we?" I told everyone. We all walked into the store and Matt grabbed my hand again and smiled. I interlocked our fingers and smiled back. Emma gave me a confused look but smiled shortly after.

"Okay love birds. Where to first?" Chelsea asked Matt and I. "Um? Buckle?" I asked.

"Sure!" Chels and Emma said at the same time.

We started walking to Buckle and once we got there I immediately stopped dead in my tracks.

Matt looked at me concerned. "What? What's wrong?" He asked quickly.

"These shorts. They're so cute." I looked at the price tag. $300. "Woah. Never mind." I said laughing.

"Why won't you get them? They're Miss Mes" he said in a sing song chuckling voice. "One, because they are way too expensive. And two, I could get many things here instead of one thing for $300." I explained.

"Oh." Is all he said.

I took once last glance at them, smiled then walked into Buckle.

"Hey, I'm going to the bathroom. Be right back." Matt tells me. "Alright. Meet you back here." I told him slightly smiling.

He walked off and I caught back up with Emma and Chelsea.

"Soooo, do you guys have like a thing now?" Chelsea asked me. "Yeah! Do you?" Emma also asked.

"I don't really know. This is our first time hanging out since.." I stopped talking.

"Since what?" Chelsea asked. "Well last night I was sleeping in the bed and Matt came and he asked if he could sleep next to me and I said yes." I told them looking at the ground. I could feel my cheeks getting hot.

"YOU GUYS SLEPT TOGETHER? DID YOU USE PROTECTION?" Emma practically screamed. Almost everyone in the store was looking at me.

"EMMA! Keep your voice down. No. We SLEPT together. S-L-E-P-T. Slept." I told her.

We walked around the store and I ended up getting a bag and two shirts.

We walked back out and Matt was there. "Hey." He said smiling. He had a bag in his hands. "What's that?" I asked pointing at the bag. "Oh. Just some stuff for the challenge video with Nash and Cameron." He reassured me.

Chelsea's eyes lit up at the sound of Cam's name.

We walked out of the mall and headed toward the exit.

"You guys wanna come back to the hotel?" I asked Emma and Chelsea.

"We'd love to." Chelsea responded.

"Okay." I said smiling.

All of us walked back to the hotel and we ran into Bart. "Britney, turns out there's an extra room. Do you want it?" I looked at Matt and his faced sort of fell. "Um sure. But can Chelsea stay with me?"

He thought about it. "Why not?" He said smiling.

"Thanks Bart!" I told him. "Bye you guys. I have to get back home." Emma told us. "Oh okay. Well text me. You have my number!"Chelsea told her.

We said goodbye and us three walked into the hotel. Me and Chelsea got our room card and went inside. "This is so cool! I texted my aunt and she dropped my stuff off in the lobby." Chelsea said.

"Knock knock!" I heard from the door. "ROOM SERVICE." I heard Matt say in his famous sing song voice. "I have a delivery for the two of you." Matt explained.

"Chelsea, I got your bags from the lobby." He told her. "Thank you so much!" She replied smiling.

"And for you Brit, this." He handed me me the bag that he had in his hand earlier at the mall. I opened it and inside were the miss me shorts that I wanted.

"Matt! I can't believe you bought these for me." I said to him blushing and staring at his hazel eyes. "I have to pay you back. There might be some-" I was cut off. "No need." He told me.

" I bought them for you because I wanted to." He said. "But-" I tried saying.

"Stop. There's nothing I wouldn't do for a beautiful girl like you."
