"When will you tell me that he was one of a royalty, Arka??"
Arka groaned as he bumped his ass on his bed. That afternoon, after work, Gemma headed directly to her brother's room and decided that they had to do a bit conversation.
"Soon." Arka answered but his eyes were never stared directly to Gemma's.
Gemma snorted loudly. "So why didn't you tell me about him??"
"Because if I told to you from the first, he would make more victims without we knowing it. A people like him had to be cleaned fast. Beside... he is maybe not really a royalty. He was among them because he had money and diamonds." Arka said as answer.
"Are you sure he is not an important one? I heard he was." Gemma said.
She made a tsk, "we have our methods, Arka. We do not select our target and kill them right away. We select them, study them, learn about them then we kill them. You rushed it." Gemma groaned."At least, you could tell me about him. You knew from the beginning he wasn't a citizen from the central town, Arka. You're lucky he was alone. He didn't bring one of his guard." Gemma said. Even she was angry, she kept her voice low. It had to be that way, or your neighbors would hear you.
"Alright, I'm sorry. But by the time I found a target for you. I caught him giving a special treatment for a woman. He said something about another jewelry on the way and the possibility to make another transaction. I had to stop him. He was a disease for people." Arka said, raised up his hands.
"Yes, he was a disease. He was a bad person. But you risked yourself by doing this, Arka." Gemma kept going. "The injury you told me before, he fought back hard, didn't he. He maybe could defend himself and you didn't know it."
Arka rolled his eyes. "At least, he's dead now." He said easily.
Gemma pinched the bridge of her nose. "Dammit, Arka. Look what have you done! The murder was exposed everywhere. The authority from central town will investigate it. You have no idea how worried I am when all I can hear along the way is about the man."
Arka combed his hair in frustration and raised up to his feet.
He walked toward Gemma and held her by her forearms.
"Hey, hey, Gemma! Don't worry. I did it perfectly. No witnesses, no track, nothing. They won't find me. They won't find us."Gemma sighed deeply. "I hope so. Remember, we do this to make a better world. To wipe out the bastards from this world. We do this for mom."
Arka nodded, his eyes were darkened at the word 'mom'. "Yes, Gemma. I remember. I won't mess this, I promise."
Gemma exhaled her breath then he pulled her brother into a hug.
Since Arka was taller, Gemma had to stand on her toes but she didn't mind.
Arka hugged her back, patted her shoulder then slowly let her off."You look horrible. Do you know that?" Arka said, smirked a bit at his sister.
Gemma rolled her eyes and he pushed him further from her.
"Whatever! I have to go to the bakery in one hour. Double shift today.""What? Why?" Arka asked in confusion.
"It's Queen Aira birthday tomorrow, remember? The Kingdom will celebrate it as always and Mr. Geer got a job to supply a thousand Cinnamon breads and Chocolate muffins. Since he will never be able to do it himself. He asked...no...he ordered us to help him and of course non of us could say no." Gemma explained.
Arka narrowed his eyes as he hummed. "O-kay... Will he give you more money for that??"
"Of course he will. You don't think I do it for charity, do you?" Gemma replied, looking annoyed. "He will pay good, he said."
