Chapter Fourteen coming up!!!!

-------------------------
Gemma and Geer was standing near the front door of the bakery that day, counting boxes Gemma had to deliver to the castle.
Geer just arranged them on the basket when a carriage stopped beside them.Gemma and Geer suddenly looked up and found Arnev was smiling toward them.
Well, smiled more to Gemma maybe.
But Gemma didn't show him any excitement from meeting him. Instead, she furrowed her eyebrows and averted her gaze from him quickly.
Arnev cringed a bit looking at the lady in front of him. She's ignoring him.
He wasn't looked bad. In fact, he didn't bad at all. Arnev knew that well.
The other girls around were looking at him excitedly. Some even intentionally flipped their hair and batted their eyelashes just to get his attention."Morning, Lord Arnev. It's very good to see you. Do you need anything, Sire?" Geer asked politely.
Arnev smiled. His eyes glanced at Gemma a little bit but the girl still thought he wasn't existed and busy with the boxes.
"No, not today, Geer. Thank you." Arnev answered with a smile still on his lips. "But, what the boxes for?" He asked, pointed at the basket with his chin."Ah, these are for Queen Aira, Sire. Queen Aira loves the breads. The Lady is my customer permanently." Geer said proudly. "Gemma will take these breads there."
Arnev saw Gemma pouted a bit at Geer for telling him where she's about to go. Now Arnev knew why he sometimes didn't see her at the bakery. She was busy outside.
"Well, then why don't you come with me, Lady Maynhard?? I am heading toward the palace."
"No-"
"That's a wonderful idea, My Lord!" Geer shouted, interrupted Gemma from refusing the offer.
Gemma groaned inside. She was more than capable to walk herself to the castle. Beside, she didn't want to spend time too much with Arnev. It wasn't because he was annoying but he started to suspect on her brother. And spending time with him only gave him more access to Arka.
Her brother already warned her himself."Mr. Geer! I can walk to the palace! I'm fine." Gemma protested.
"Yes, I know that but you're going to be there faster, Gemma. So stop complaining young lady!" Geer said. He picked up the basket and placed it on the carriage. "Beside," He added, whispered to Gemma. "I think Lord Arnev is here to see you."
Gemma snorted loudly, didn't care if Arnev could hear him.
"That's completely impossible." She mumbled lowly.Geer shook his head. "Jeez, Gemma! Sometimes you are thinking about yourself too low."
Gemma rolled her eyes. Since the basket now was on the carriage, she had no other option than climbed up and sat beside Arnev.
Around her, Gemma heard some girls were taking sharp deep breath seeing her being so close to Arnev.
Well, Gemma loved to change position with them anytime.Arnev ran the carriage after she sat herself down.
He waved a bit at Geer before the bakery owner was getting inside the store."Still don't like me, eh, Lady Maynhard??" Arnev opened the conversation.
Gemma turned her head toward him and found Arnev was smiling at her.
Actually she felt so bad for treating him like a crap but she was trying to survive. So did Arka.
"I never said that." Gemma finally answered.
