Gemma's changed. That's obvious.
It's been two days and she almost didn't eat anything.
She only ate a few pinches of bread after Kiera told her she will shove the food inside her throat if she kept refusing to eat.

Her friends wondered what's wrong with her but Gemma said she just feeling unwell.
Luckily for her, she was having a bit of fever these couple days for staying outside between the snowstorm for too long so Raye and Kiera didn't ask more.

But Gemma knew better. She's changed because she tried so hard to hide the truth. She had found Arka but she wasn't ready to tell about it to Raye and Kiera. She didn't know how they would react, especially Kiera. She's afraid Kiera would suddenly turn to her old self and went to hurt her brother. The worst, Kiera probably would hate her for this.
She wasn't ready yet.

But time was running out. She's feeling better and it's impossible to make the same excuse if her friends asked about the changing of her behavior.
She had to tell them about Arka. Soon or later. Because he was their quest. Their main reason for being here.

Gemma was playing with the soup in front of her. It was made specially by Rhea when she heard Gemma was sick. To appreciate it, Gemma forced herself to eat it but her stomach only accepted half of it.
She spooned the broth then poured it back to the bowl. She repeated it over and over again until the soup turned cold. Just like everything else in Edur.

She stopped when suddenly Kiera took the bowl away.

"I don't know what's wrong with you but I hate when you're sick, Maynhard. You look like a lunatic." Kiera said as she placed the bowl beside the fire pit.

"I'll take that as a compliment." Gemma said as she sighed deeply.

Kiera rolled her eyes. She then placed her palm on Gemma's forehead and hummed.
"Hmm.. You're better. You're not warm anymore. It's good then. Maybe this is a sign that the old Maynhard will be back."

Gemma swat her hand away. "And you're still annoying, Artheva."

"Yeah, yeah. By the way, there's someone outside. He said he wanted to meet you." Kiera said.

Gemma felt like something just dropped from her chest to her stomach. Suddenly anxiety filled her.
"What?? Who??"

Kiera pursed her lips and she clearly looked annoyed. "He said I'm not allowed to tell you who he is. He wants it to be special." Kiera said, quoted the last word with her fingers. "Gosh, his attitude bothers me!"

Gemma bit her bottom lips. There's a huge change it was Arka. Her twins.
Kiera never saw him and neither did Raye. So they didn't know exactly how he looked like. But Gemma knew Kiera. If the man told her to not let her blew his identity then she must be recognized him.

Even in her dream, Gemma wouldn't believe that Kiera wanted to accept an order from a stranger.
She would beat that person first. Especially if he was suspicious.

"Where's Raye??" Gemma asked.

"Outside." Kiera answered then she flicked Gemma's forehead a bit. "Hurry up, Silly! He's waiting for you. It's rude to make him waiting."

Heavily, Gemma stood up and walked downstairs. No sign of the Manuel's everywhere. Maybe they're at the city.
She tightened the coat to her body, prepared herself to welcome the cold air then passed the front door.
