"Mr. Sid, there's someone outside telling about..."

Arka stopped everything he tried to say when he saw someone he never saw before stood in Sid's office.
His blue eyes were intimidating him and Arka knew right away that the man was from Veron.
Who else had the blue eyes than them?

Arka suddenly tensed. He felt aware about everything even the small sound Sid made when he got up from his chair.
He moved his gaze from the man back to Sid.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Sid. I don't know you're having a guest."

Sid smiled a bit. "That's fine Arka. Come in." Sid said, waved his hand.

With a heavy heart, Arka walked inside, made sure he was standing a bit further from the guest.
He glanced at the man again and found the man was staring at him intensely. Like he was judging about him.

Arka cursed inside his heart. He shouldn't show any interest about his appearance but it turned out very hard thing to do. Arka wanted to know how far these Veron and authority from Tara investigated the case.

Sid watched Arka and his guest were having stare contest and he cleared his throat, made their glares broke and poured their attention to him.
"Arka, my boy! This is Lord Arnev. He's coming from Veron. My Lord," in here Sid moved his gaze to Arnev. "this is Arka Maynhard. He's one of the best worker here."

Arnev nodded a bit and Arka bowed his head.
"My Lord." He mumbled as polite as he could.

"So," Sid added. "What did you want to tell me, Arka?"

Arka suddenly remember his purpose being in there. "Oh, right. There's a man out there. He said you ordered some fertilizers from him and he brings them."

Sid smiled widely. "Ah, yes, yes. I did. Thank goodness he comes fast. I thought he said he would come in three days. Okay, I'll meet him."

Arka let Sid passed him but before he could follow him outside, Sid suddenly stopped and turned his body to Arka.
"Please, wait here, Arka. It feels so rude to let Lord Arnev alone. You don't mind, do you, My Lord?"

Arnev shook his head. "That's okay, Mr. Sid. I can wait with Arka here."

Arka scolded inside. He didn't want to spend any longer with Arnev but ir seemed he had to.
He took a deep breat before walking back in and took a seat in the corner.

To his surprise, Arnev walked toward him and reached out his hand.
Arka stared at his hand suspiciously. He already knew the people from another city had their own way to introduce themselves but it's still strange thing for Arka since Arnev wanted shaking hand with an ordinary citizen like him.

After doubt about it for a while, Arka took his hand and shook it a bit.

"Arnev Devano."

"Arka Maynhard."

"You are exactly like your sister." Arnev spoke.

Arka blinked his eyes in confusion. He looked at Arnev like he just realized that he was there.
"You know Gemma?"

"Yeah, well, actually I just met her this morning in the bakery." Arnev said, returned to his previous spot and took a seat.

"Then how do you know that she's my sister? Did she say anything about me?" Arka asked again, furrowed his eyebrows.

Arnev chuckled lightly. "No. She didn't. But...you have the same eyes as her. Hazel. And..." He sighed a bit. "You both obviously do not like me. I can feel your aura and hers are trying to kick me away. Am I too much?"

Arka was shocked when he said that but luckily he could cover it up. He bit his inner cheek to prevent his face made any emotion.

So Gemma had met Arnev. Arka didn't know it was a good or bad news.
And his sister just like him, felt not safe around Arnev.
Arka felt this man was dangerous. No matter how friendly he was.
If he was really a Lord from Veron then the man he killed must be a Lord as well.
