With some money Leroy gave them and some from their own efforts, the trio could rent a nice place for them to stay in Edur. They rented the whole second floor of a house belonged to a very nice couple. The couple themselves and their cute son lived at the first floor.
Since they didn't know how long they would stay in Edur, it's better for them to have permanent spot to rest.

The house itself, the walls were made from ice while the floor was from dark woods. It's amazing how these people could turn the soft fragile snow into these strong walls.
From the outside, this house looked like two giant ice cubes. One cube above the others. But the top cube was smaller from the bottom one. Mostly, people in Edur had the same style for house. Just layers of two or three giant ice cubes.

It might be just a small house but it's comfortable.
Their place had one room, a bathroom and a space they called living room.
That place would be the spot for Raye to sleep since he gave the room for the girls.
In one corner there was a cabinet. It made from the same wood they used for the floor.
In the middle of the living room, there was a fire pit. Beside its function as a place to make bonfire, it also their spot to cook. If they wanted to.
Right above the fire pit, there was a perfect round hole on the ceiling. There was the way for the heat from bonfire came out and avoided it from melting the walls.
It could be closed though. So in case there was a snowstorm attacked them, it couldn't break in.

"It's lovely." Kiera said. For the first time said the words sincerely.

"Agreed." Gemma nodded. She couldn't avert her eyes from her surrounding. From the other kingdoms, Edur clearly was different.

Raye was making fire. He couldn't handle more cold.
"We need more woods. I think Mr. and Mrs. Manuel know where to get it." he said, mentioned the owner of the house.

Kiera dropped herself on the floor. "Yeah, I'll ask them later." She said. She let her coat off then rubbed her palms together before faced them toward the fire Raye just made.
Gemma did the same and Raye joined them after made sure he threw the girls rucksacks inside the only room they had.
The sounds of the rucksacks when they hit the floor made Kiera glared at him.

"Careful, Silly!!!! There're my precious things in there." She said.

Raye ignored her as always and he sat in front of the bonfire as well.
"So, we're here now. We have to start looking for Arka."

"I couldn't agree more but we have to make a plan this time. I refuse to explore this kingdom place by place. We'll freeze to death." Kiera said.

Raye hummed. "Hm.. Maybe we can use our old style. Pretend looking for jobs."

Gemma quickly shook her head. "No. It wastes too much time. I know where we have to begin. Since my brother was a guard in Nuadha, there's a possibility he choose the same job here."

Raye frowned deeply. "Don't you think it's too easy? I personally never thought he would choose the same career."

"Not my brother. When Tack told me he was a guard, I knew Arka can't let go what he does best." Gemma said.

"Do you mean beating people?" Kiera asked, raised an eyebrow as a smug grin appeared in the corner of her lips.

"Something like that." Gemma confirmed, already knew Kiera would make that kind of comment.
"Guard is the most comfortable job for him. I will surprise if he choose another thing to do."

Raye pursed his lips but he slowly nodded.
"Okay. That's worth to try. We'll begin tomorrow. For now," Raye paused. He threw a small pouch toward Kiera. "Buy something for dinner. I'm hungry."
