Gemma screamed loudly when someone suddenly appeared in front of her.
The person was hanging on the three with his legs, gripped the branch hard beneath his knees while his body was hanging upside-down.
Gemma cursed under her breath as she recognized him. She gave people around her apologetic look for making them worried before she turned her gaze back to the man.

"Yo!!!" He said.

Gemma pursed her lips a bit. "'Yo'??? Don't you have another way to say 'hay', Sekt?"

Sekt shook his head, seemed didn't bother about the fact that he was hanging on the tree with his head down.

Gemma rolled her eyes. "Get down there before you hurt yourself."

"You're kidding, right? Tree is my best friend. I can climb to the top just in a few seconds if I want." He replied but he swung his body up and jumped down from the tree.

"Yeah, yeah! Where were you? Kegan said you went to Devoss." Gemma said as she started to walk again with Sekt followed her.

"I did. Have you seen Devoss before?" Sekt asked, walking calmly as he ignored the others who stared at him strangely.

"No." Gemma answered. "How's Devoss by the way?"

"Hot." He said. "Like always. Just like in here, Devoss is never touched by snow but it's rare to get rain in there. The land mostly covered in rocks and one or two miles from the volcano, there's a big mine where they get their rubies. There are some villages there, usually for people who work at the mine. The King's castle is far from it. But since all of the window are facing the mountain, I bet they have a good view from there. The people there are quite nice though they are so suspicious about everything and they like to use black."

Gemma laughed a bit. "I'm sure when you're there, people can't stop staring at you."

"Yeah, one of the reason why I don't want to stay there for too long" Sekt said. "Where are we going?" he asked as he suddenly stop from his steps.

"My home. My shift at Geer's hasn't ended yet but I really need to go home. Why?"

Sekt shook his head, made a cross sign with his arms. "No way. I don't want to enter your house. Can't we just go and visit Kegan? He promised me to show his armory."

"I went there this morning. I'm too tired to go there again. Why don't you go by yourself? Kegan will be happy to have a friend."

"Yes, he will." Sekt responded. "But he's happier around you."

"No, he is not." Gemma quickly said.

"Yes, he is." Sekt sang the words.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes." Sekt said again. "And you're blushing so stop denying."

Gemma groaned a bit, rubbed her palms on her cheeks. "Whatever! I can't take you to the palace right now."

"Hey, Gemma!" He said, gripped the back of her robe before she moved too far. "Wrong turn! The palace is right there." Sekt said, ignored her repulsion.

Gemma glared at him. She slapped his hand to let her robe go. "You never take 'no' as answer, don't you?"

"The road to the palace is that way." Sekt said again, pointed the castle. He obviously didn't want to answer her question.
