Chapter 7

Today I had trouble waking up so I got late to school, I was only 5 minutes late. I knocked on the door and the teacher opened.

"Sorry, i'm late."

"Sit down, you're just on time." There was an empty seat next to Leigh so I sat there and Perrie was sitting a bit further and she smiled as I smiled back.

"You get one hour to do this assignment, it is pretty easy. Work with 3 or 4, you can choose who you work with, so here you go." The teacher said as he handed everyone the papers.

"Who are we working with?" Leigh asked.

"Uhm, you me, Perrie and Lauren, they're smart af." I said.

"Hey, Perrie, Lauren come work with us." Leigh yelled.

"I'm gonna work with the boys." Perrie said.

"The fuck? You leave me for the boys?" Lauren asked.

"I'm sorry."

"Whatever." She said as she came and sat next to me and Leigh.

"Did Perrie just leave us for the boys? She's such an attention whore sometimes like if a boy asks her something she won't say no." I said because I got really angry because this isn't the first time she let's me down for a boy.

After we finished the assignment it was time to go to the next class so we walked out of class and went to the other class room.

"Hey Jade,wait." Perrie said as she was walking next to me.

"Don't talk to me, go talk to that boy."

"Are you serious Jade? Are you really mad?"

"Yeah?? How many times are you gonna leave me for a boy or even boys in this case?"

"Jade, it was just an assignment."

"I don't for what it is, i'm your friend. Boys come and go, but I will always be here, you know people warned me about you, but I didn't believe them, you are so selfish sometimes."

"I'm not selfish and you're way more important for me than they are."

"I don't care anymore, you're so weird. Like we are supposed to be friends you know, but you treat me differently then your other friends, you always expect me to start talking to you? If I don't start a conversation you just ignore me, why?"

"I-i don't know."

"That's what I thought, I need to go now, bye."

"Wow? Are the best friends fighting?" Our history teacher interrupted.

"Miss, do you think it is possible for your friend to let you down for boys?"

"No, absolutely not."

"See, Perrie, i'm not the only one to think that way."

After school finished I went home and ate something and Perrie started texting me.

*text messages between Jade and Perrie*

Perrie: Jade, please talk to me.

Perrie: Jade, please. We need to talk.

Jade: I have nothing to talk about.

Perrie: Look, i'm really sorry. It won't happen again. You mean a lot to me and you're a really good friend. I know I don't show it but you are and please you need to talk to me.

Perrie: So you're ignoring me now?

Perrie: Why don't you answer my calls? I called like 10 times.

Jade: Perrie, just leave it.

Perrie: No Jade, please. I can't stand the thought of not talking to you. I can't imagine you not being my friend anymore, I know I made a mistake but please I need you. I promise it won't happen again.

Jade: You promise?

Perrie: Yeah, I do.

Jade: Look, i'm not mad. It's just you do this all the time and I don't like it, I want you to treat me like a real friend not just a class mate.

Perrie: You really aren't mad?

Jade: No, i'm not. But I swear if you do it again, i'm never ever talking to you again.

Perrie: I already promised.

Perrie: You're so different, Jade.

Jade: What do you mean?

Perrie: Normally if a friend would be mad at me for this kind of thing, I wouldn't care at all. I would be like "do the fuck you want, I don't care if you don't talk to me".

Perrie: But with you I hate the thought of you not talking to me, and it would hurt me not talking to you.

Jade: Well, i'm just too irresistible.

Perrie: Yeah, i'm just glad everything is okay.

Jade: Me too.

Perrie: I need to go now, before my mom catches me on my phone so goodnight.

Jade: Goodnight, Perrie.

I don't know what is happening to me. But I feel like I should distance myself from Perrie. None of my friends like her because she acts like she is the queen all the time. Everyone at school thinks she is this high class bitch, but she's not. That's not how I know her. Underneath that bitch is an insecure emotional little girl. But I still should distance myself from her because I feel like she could hurt me, I don't know why but I have this feeling that she is a selfish person that she does whatever she wants without thinking about other's feelings. But there is one problem, I already tried to distance myself, but I can't. She has this weird effect on me. Do I like her? No, that can't be. I never liked anyone until now so I don't know how it feels. But how can I like a girl? I've been struggling with my sexuality for a year now, but no I don't like her. I just probably think about her like that because she is the only one who is close to me right now. Let's just ignore what I feel and distance myself from her and btw she's straight anyways she is like boy crazy and an attention whore, so I don't have to do anything with that kind of people.
