Chapter 17

A couple of days later things started to feel weird between me and Perrie. She didn't ignore me at all she even kind of likes the fact that I have a crush on her, but my mind is fucked up. I have no idea if my crush is real or not and i'm really confused.

We were in class and the teacher was late, I was sitting next to Leigh and Perrie asked me to come sit next to her but I didn't say anything and didn't move. She kept asking so I had no choice and I stood up and sat next to her.
"Damn, you're acting weird today." She said and I just gave her a weak smile.

"Is there something wrong?"

"No,no. I'm just tired."

"Okay, if you say so."

She kept talking to me and I just didn't pay much attention to her. After school I didn't wait for her like I usually do, I just took the first bus back home. When I got home Perrie texted me.

*text messages between Jade and Perrie*

Perrie: I know there's something wrong, you can tell me you know that.

Perrie: Is this about that crush thing? I'm serious I really don't mind Jade.

Jade: Yeah it is about that.

Perrie: What's wrong?

Jade: I'm just really confused, i'm sorry. I just never had a crush on anyone before and i'm not sure what this is that i'm feeling.

Perrie: Jade...

Jade: I'm just even more confused that you know it right now.

Perrie: Maybe it's better if we just distance ourselves from each other.

Jade: Yeah, maybe it is. I just need space.

Perrie: Alright, just come back when you're ready.

Jade: I will.

Perrie: Goodbye Jade.

Jade: Goodbye Perrie.

The next few days we just ignored each other completely at school. She didn't even text me. I expected her to text me or something but yeah she didn't. It's normal that she didn't, I asked for space and she's giving it to me. But after 2 days we were sitting in class, I was sitting next to Leigh Anne and Lauren and Perrie were sitting in front of us. Lauren and Perrie were talking and ofcourse I could hear everything they were talking about.

"How is it with Alex?" Lauren asked.

"I saw him last week at a party and like always he came to me and we talked."

"What did you talk about?"

"Everything."

"Well, do you still like him?"

"I don't know, well he is a fuckboy but he looks so damn good and sometimes I can't resist."

When I heard her talking about Alex I slightly got irritated but I also got mad. Why would she talk about him if she knows that I can hear her? She knows how I feel about her and it's like she does this on purpose. I just ignored it and continued sleeping as the teacher didn't even care what we were doing.

When I got home I was angry.

"Jade, what's wrong. You're so calm did something happen at school?" My mom asked.

"No, just school you know. We have a lot to do and i'm frustrated. That's all."

"Alright, have you seen your brother?"

"Yeah, he was with his friends at  school." I said as I walked away to go to my room.

"Where are you going?"

"To my room."

"You're in your room 24/7, why don't you stay here?"

"Because I have homework to do."

"Yeah ofcourse you have so much homework to do but you're always on your phone."

"Mom, please." I said as I went upstairs and entered my room and I decided to text Perrie.

*text messages between Jade and Perrie*

Jade: You knew that I could hear everything yet you decided to talk about Alex in front of me.

Perrie: Lauren asked me about it and I told her, what's wrong with that?

Jade: You're just so so selfish.

Jade: Don't you realize that i'm even more confused now?

Perrie: You are just jealous.

Jade: Jealous of what?

Perrie: Jealous of Alex you dumb ass. If you really didn't have a crush on me then you wouldn't overreact like this.

Jade: So I overreact?

Perrie: Yeah, with everything lately.

Jade: Why does it even matter if I have a crush or not? It's not like something is gonna happen. You're just so desperate to have a boyfriend that you don't even care who it is even if it's a fuckboy, you don't care as long as you get attention!!

Perrie: You really just didn't call me desperate.

Jade: You are fucking desperate, how many times does he have to reject you? Accept it you just want attention and it's the only thing you care about.

Perrie: Well, thanks for making me cry rn.

Jade: You're welcome.

Perrie: I thought you were my friend, i'm not desperate okay? But it does really hurt that you think that way. You were the last person I thought that would hurt me like this.

Jade: You think you can hurt me all the time and I will still do anything for you? It doesn't work that way.

Perrie: JADE, get your facts straight. I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, IT'S NOT MY FAULT YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON ME.

Jade: WELL, IT IS. WHY ARE YOU SO FUCKING PERFECT??

Perrie: I'm not, like you said i'm desperate and selfish and I deserve nothing in this world, espacially not you...

Jade: I-i don't care what you deserve or not.

Jade: I know that I just don't wanna get hurt, so please just do whatever you want but don't hurt me.

Perrie: I won't Jade, I promise. Fuck Alex who the fuck is he? I don't like him, you're right. I just maybe wanted a boyfriend that's all.

Jade: Why do you act like this?

Perrie: Like what?

Jade: Since I told you about it, you don't even mind and it's not normal.

Perrie: Maybe because I feel the same way about you.

Jade: You do?

Perrie: I don't know Jade. I'm straight I know that for 100% I just don't know why I feel so different about you.

Jade: We both need time to figure this out, let us just act like how we were a month ago, good friends okay?

Perrie: Yes.
