Chapter 40

I woke up and went to the living room and saw that Perrie was sleeping. I wanted to wake her up but she looked comfortable sleeping so I didn't wake her up. I just sat in a chair and I watched her sleep. A lot of questions are going around in my head now. Why is she even really here? I don't believe that she came all the way down here just to tell me that she lied to me. I'm actually very curious and I want to find out what's actually happening but in order to find out she had to wake up first.

After like half an hour she woke up.

"Oh, Jade, you're already awake." She said rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah, I am."

"What time is it?" She asked sitting up.

"It's 10.30."

"Thank you again, for letting me stay here."

"It's okay, I have a lot of questions though, if you don't mind? I just think all of this is weird."

"You can ask me anything." She said standing up.

"I just realized I don't have any food at home, my roommate ate like everything."

"Roommate?" She asked in confusion.

"Oh yeah, I didn't tell you. I have a roommate, but she's away for a couple of days. She's coming tomorrow."

"Maybe we should have breakfast outside." She suggested.

"Yeah, sure."

"Don't you have class?"

"How do you know I study?" I asked with a confused look.

"Oh I just assumed it."

"No, I don't have any classes today.

We got ready and went to eat somewhere near by. We walked in and sat at a table.

"So what did you want to ask me?" She asked raising her eyebrows.

"What do you do? Do you study do you work?"

"I don't study, I actually dropped out of college two years ago."

"What?? I would never believe that you would drop out of college."

"Yeah, I know. I always thought you were gonna be the one to drop out." She said laughing.

"Oh shut up." I said smiling.

"Why did you drop out?" I asked.

"It just wasn't my cup of tea."

"That's honestly so weird, it's like you're a different person than the Perrie that I knew in high school."

"Yeah, people change, Jade."

"They do. So do you work then?"

"Well, I used to but I actually got fired."

"What?? You continue to shock me."

"I know. I actually applied to a couple of other jobs now. I should get an answer in the following days."

"I hope you get a good answer. And where do you live? I mean why were you asking for a hotel?"

"Like I said I got kicked out by my parents and I had to look for an appartment and I did find one but I can move there in five days. So now i'm basically on the streets."

"Ow shit, well do you have money on you?"

"Yes, I do, Jade. I'm not homeless, I mean I am, but I do have money on me."

"Here's your food." The employee interrupted as he gave us our plates.

"Was that the real reason why you came to me? Because you knew I wouldn't let you sleep on the streets?"
