She knew before the first light that the sun would blind her as she woke up. Yawning, she did a clothes changing spell, which successfully works and thought hard about the book Helena offered her to read. She turned around and it flew towards her, landing on her face. Luna laughed as she sat up from her bed.

"Gotta practice that" she spoke as Cassentina opened her book and began to read the first page. It was about an amazing creature called a demiguise.

The demiguise is a peaceful creature that can not only make itself invisible but can also tell the future. They are highly sought after as their hair can be woven into invisibility cloaks although the effects wear off as time passes.( YouTube- Harry Potter Folklore's Channel- 10 fantastic beasts you need to knew- Fantastic Beasts Explained)

She smiled and hugged the book with delight.
"Merlin's Beard" she spoke. "I'd love to meet one of those"

She told Luna about the book and showed her. She smiled.
"Incredible, I've never heard of such creature"
"I'd love to find them. I'm going to send a letter to dad and ask him about it." Cassentina spoke and grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill.

Dear Dad,
I'm soo happy both Luna and I got into Ravenclaw! We both share a dorm too! I love Hogwarts soo much. I met Helena Ravenclaw's ghost and she gave me a book. It's called Amazing Creatures. I was fascinated by one called a demiguise. Do you know what that is? I read that it can turn invisible, tell the future and it's hair can be woven into invisibility cloaks. I am staying strong from my addictions, but sometimes it's really hard. There's soo much people around and it's soo hard to keep calm. But I only have been here for a night. Will owl you at the end of the week. Luna and I miss you and can't wait to tell you all about Hogwarts.
Sincerely,
Cass and Luna Lovegood

She folded it and eyed Cho's owl perched outside in the common room.

"Good morning" She spoke to Cho sitting on a cushion, patting it. She eyed the owl perched on her shoulder.
"Can I borrow your owl, just to send a letter to father" Cassentina spoke as Cho smiled.
"Yea sure" she replied.
"Thanks" answered Cassentina as she rolled up the parchment and attached the envelope to the owl's foot. It opened its great wings and flew out of the window out through the forbidden forest and beyond.

Eyeing her timetable, she noticed she had Potions with Professor Snape and grabbed her books before heading down to the dungeons with Luna.

Walking with Luna down the corridor, she arrived at the classroom and placed her books and quill on her desk she shared with her sister next to Ginny. They exchanged glances and smiled. As other students filed into the classroom, she noticed how oily his hair was and his scent reeked of musty books and wet. It was unpleasant and made her dislike the teacher even more when he spoke. She tucked her necklace in her shirt, just in case he pulled her out for it and looked up at him, waiting to start. He stared back at her, briefly, before looking at the rest of the class.
"Good morning first years. In this class we will be learning about the art of portions to open the inner eye, deceive your enemies and even stop you from suffering... or worse death"

She nodded and dipped her quill in the ink pot, beginning to take notes. September 2nd she wrote above the margin and kept listening.
"As you are first years, I will help you brew a potion that instantly kills any creature. Today we start with vampires. Turn to page 201 and gather your supplies. I reassure if it is brewed correctly, it will burn any vampire from a single touch and with more applied, can kill one instant-ly. Turn to page 201"
Cassentina nodded and exchanged looks with Luna in fear. This was dangerous for her. But she hid it and turned to page 201. Reading the ingredients, she followed the rest of the class and grabbed them out of the cupboard, bringing them back to the table.

Each ingredient was measured and placed into the brewing cauldron, precisely as the words said. She noticed a sweet smell coming from her sister and looked over. She instead, unlike the professor's instructions did not begin brewing the potion and instead revitalised a daisy. She looked at her staring and tucked the flower behind her ear, smiling

"Keep away the wrackspirts" she spoke. Cassentina pulled the flower from her hair and sneezed. Snape's gaze shot to them and strutted over. He eyed Luna's flowers she was making in her cauldron and frowned.

"What..........are you doing. Miss Lovegood?"
Luna smiled. "I decided not to make this potion, Professor. It has bad energy"
He looked at her blankly, "You....what?"
"Bad energy. Bad. But I revitalised this flower for you from the ingredients and you could put it into your hair." Luna answered, handing him the flower in which he didn't take.
"....."
Luna smiled and offered him the flower again.
"Come on, I think it would look very nice on you. Keeps away the wrackspirts you know"
He shook his head and awkwardly walks away. Cassentina smiled, handing back her flower and pulled out her wand. Snape turned to face her.
"What are you doing....?"
".... Miss Lovegood, sir. I think this potion is not suitable for our year, it's too dangerous and the ingredients are toxic even for a regular person. Why don't we make something more helpful, like a remedy for something, or if you like difficulty, you could alway make us a felix potion"
He looked at her blankly and grimaced.
"You think it's dangerous?"
"Yes"
He smirked.
"Why don't you show me"
She shook my head.
"Sir, if you listed to me before, it is toxic even for a regular person. I could get extremely injured"
He grimaced and poked his finger in the potion and it came out red, but not burnt. He looked at me and raised his eyebrows. He looked satisfied, as her face frowned and she studied his finger, a smile creeping on her face.
"Professor I believe you are incorrect. The infusion of the wolfsbane flower brewed over the temperature of 90 degrees causes it to become more intoxicated as to the redness of your finger. I bid you wise to wash your finger before you get a nasty rash"
He grimaced and turned to Ginny seated next to them. Her hair was frizzy due to the heat emitting from her cauldron and hid her face when the professor neared.
"Pathetic, Miss Weasley" he spat and held out his wand. The potion disappeared. In fury, Cassentina shot up, chair squeaking behind her. Her hands slapped the table in anger.

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" she yelled, a book flying to his head. She blinked. He was on the ground, having been knocked over by the book clutching his hand against a cut on his forehead. Cassentina looked away.

"I'll get help" she muttered and ducked out the door with no second thought. Her senses becoming blurry from the sight of blood. She was so unconsciously running, it wasn't until she collided with a solid force that she fell to the ground and stopped. Dumbledore stood above her, his hand out as he offered her up.

"Miss Lovegood. What brings you in such a hurry?" he spoke as she took huis hand and stood up, brushing off her skirt.

"Sorry headmaster" she answered. "I was on my way to see Madam Pomphrey. I knocked Professor Snape in the head" she hesitated at his worried face "... I swear, I didn't do anything! He tipped my friends potion out and I got angry at him..... And......and...l. The book.......it just flew at him......?." She spoke. Dumbledore stopped for a moment in deep thought and chucked.

"It was an accident, I just got angry and books flew everywhere. It's not my fault. I'm soo sorry.... Please don't expel me........ I don't know what happened." she spoke, worried. He tapped her shoulder and ushered her in the direction of the infirmary.

Once there, Dumbledore explained the incident to the nurse, who rushed out with a napkin and a first-aid kit. He watched her go and smiled at Cassentina standing there.

"Don't worry about it" he spoke. "You aren't the first one nervous on a first day. I just heard one of Professor Sprout's mandrake classes knocked a student unconscious." he smiled, signalling a second year boy on one of the beds, a wet tea towel on his forehead. He was reading his copy of the second year herbology textbooks.

He ushered her to a bed and held out a cup, smiling. She picked it up and thanked him before he disappeared behind the doors, out of sight. Her vision was still a little blurry as she swished around the contents in the cup and drank. She tasted the thick blood on her lips and finished the contents before she laid down on the bed. Her vision was a little bit clearer, but a sense of tiredness overtook her and she closed her eyes, sleep overcoming her.
