I opened my eyes and I looked out the window. It was just light, the sun was just about to rise behind the dark forest in front of me. I closed my eyes and felt the sun's rays reach over the trees. Inside me wanted to scream from the pain, but I let the sun in. I opened my eyes and turned around, pulling back the blanket Luna must've out in me last night. Luna, Padma and Cho were all asleep, leaving me alone again. I walked over to my desk and took out a piece of paper and pen. I wrote a letter to Luna, just in case if she was wondering where I was. I finished writing and folded or in half, writing her name on it and walking out the dorm and out of the common room. I quietly walked down the stairs and creeped through the corridors until I reached the front garden and sat down on a seat under the pathway, looking at the carpet of snow before me. I huddled into my school robes and watched the sun create a light in the snow. I took out my book of the Tales of Beedle the Bard, reading through it. The story intrigued me. I knew the deathly Hallows was out there somewhere! My father told me that the Peverils originally owned one of them. I'd always wanted to find them, especially the resurrection stone, to see mother, but father warned me that death himself give it to them but they were cursed to death if owned. I shook the thought away and read the story, even though it was very short. I closed it and placed it back in my satchel and spotted a boy with platinum blonde hair. I walked over and saw that it was Draco Malfoy; one of the pureblood Slitherins. He looked up at me and grimaced, but I smiled and sat down next to him.
"Hello, Draco. What brings you here?" I asked. He looked at me with a blank expression.
"What brings you here......"
"Casey Lovegood" I answered. "I couldn't sleep. Too much things happening all at once and it's not just school"
He nodded.
"And also to get some fresh air"
He nodded and looked at me, then at my necklace.
"What's with the pathetic necklace?" He cursed. I looked at my necklace, feeling it's coolness as it touched my fingers.
"It's a protective charm"
"To protect from what?"
"I..... I'd rather not talk about it!"
He nodded and I smiled, standing up.
"Leaving soo soon?"
I looked at him.
"Gotta go to the hospital wing for something" I spoke. "Besides" I looked at him. "You look nice today."
He looked at me blankly and nodded, standing up. I smiled.
"Do you want to walk to the hospital wing with me?" I asked. He nodded and we walked into the empty corridor.
"It's strange, the corridor looks soo much bigger and old without all the students rushing about"
He nodded.
"It looks like it stood for thousands of years" he answered. I nodded and we looked at the portrait of the 4 founders; Rowena Ravenclaw, Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff and Godric Griffindoor. They looked powerful, giving me stregnth. They glared back at me and smiled as it was a moving painting. I looked at Draco, who was also glaring at the portrait and he looked over at me and blushed. I giggled and we walked up the little staircase to the next level. Draco glared at me.
"Do you know Harry Potter?"
"Of course I do"
"What do you think of him?"
I looked at him and smiled.
"Well, I couldn't say. Last year he defeated the basilisk and in his first year saw you-know-who. He is hard to explain, he does greats things, but sometimes I think that the world revolves around him. The world is going to change because of him, he's famous. I just think he gets all the attention, you know. Like other people want to be famous too, but it's all about him. Not to be mean or anything, I've heard he's a nice guy. I'd love to meet him though, but I don't think there'll be a chance for all the people chasing after him. He's all for attention isn't he?" I spoke. Draco looked at me, smiling. I looked at him, shocked.
"Did I say something?"
He shook his head and I breathed out in relief. He glared at me again.
"I agree, don't worry. Potter is an attention freak." He spoke. I nodded.
"Your just like a Slytherin, why didn't you get into Slytherin? I heard your sorting and the hat said you were just right for Slytherin, but he wouldn't see you there"
I looked at him.
"There's just someone who was in my family who was in it at school, she was a great supporter of you-know-who. Actually, they went to school together. But she was evil and there's lots to say about what she did and who she became, but it was sworn to secrecy that only our family knows"
He nodded and we stopped outside the hospital wing.
"Nice talking to you Draco." I spoke and hugged him.
"And you too, Casey" he spoke and I let go and waved goodbye, opening the door and closing it behind me. I leaned against the door and smiled. My face was probably really red as the smile on my face never broke. I looked up as Madam Pomfrey stood there and helped me up, handed me a cup in which I drank quickly. She grabbed the cup and handed me a tissue as I wiped my mouth and teeth. She walked back and I chucked the tissue in the bin. She glared at me.
"What makes you soo happy?" She asked.
"I just met someone charming" I spoke, smiling. My eyes widened in shock. I was freaking in love with Draco Malfoy, one of the most evil people ever, even if I just met him! I looked at Madam Pomfrey and she glanced at me like she just read my mind.
"Is my face red?" I asked. She nodded and I waved goodbye, walking down the corridor and into the dining hall for breakfast.
