Chapter 22- A school Christmas!

............. A week later ..............

I woke up to a high pitch screeching noise. I opened my eyes and adjusted to the light. Cho stood there with a candle.
"Took you long enough! Come on! Let's open our presents!"
I nodded and got changed into my Christmas dress, walking down the stairs and into the common room, that was empty and opened my presents. I got 7! Usually I'd only get 2, but this time I got 4 more! I opened the first one, which was from Cho. I unwrapped it and saw that it was a red rose hair clip. I looked at her and smiled.
"Thank you" I spoke. I am soo glad I gave all my friends presents! I thought and clipped the clip into my hair. I opened my other present, which was from dad. It was a copy of Divination symbols. I smiled. Luna must've told him that I wanted to be a seer! I opened the next present, it was from Ginny. She gave me an origami red rose. I smiled and placed it on top of the book father gave me. I opened the one form Padma, she gave me a rose charm to put on my necklace, so I took it off as it was a dim-lit room and slid it on. It was beautiful! Next I opened the one from Luna. She gave me a pair of Beetroot earrings. I smiled and placed them on, looking at Cho, opening the present I gave her. She looked at me and giggled.
"From Luna?" She asked. I nodded.
"Thanks for the owl necklace" she spoke. I smiled.
"Pleasure" I answered. I looked at the other present. It was green, my favourite colour and it was perfectly neat. I carefully unwrapped it and spotted a card on top of a rose charm bracelet. I opened it and smiled. It read;

Dear Casey,
I knew you liked red roses, so I saw this from when I was at Hogsmede.
Have a good Christmas,
Draco Malfoy.

I smirked to myself and placed the present aside, folding up the wrapping paper and placing it into my box I keep. A weird habit, but I enjoyed looking at the pretty patterns. I looked at the Christmas tree and thought of Luna opening the present I gave her; a photo album of all the things we've done together. A true reminder of our happy days. I gave my father also a pen with an edition of the Quibbler inside a see-through part, reminding him of his success in every edition! I grabbed my book, origami rose and the card as the other presents were on my wrist, ears, neck and hair and headed upstairs to pack the rest of my belongings. I grabbed my satchel and wheeled my suitcase down, down, down all the stairs and wheeled it down the corridor, saying Merry Christmas to the teachers and students that walked past.

I reached the carriages and left my suitcase in the baggage area, sitting on a carriage all by myself and getting off once it was walking- length to the station, I walked onto the train and grabbed my divination book and started reading. This boom was called Dream Symbols and I enjoyed reading through it. I never knew dreams symbolise waking life!

I walked to the Hogsmeade station as the Higwarts express arrived and came to a stop. I spotted Luna getting off and the train and one of the luggage people handing her her suitcase. She thanked him and walked over to me the train took off.
"I missed you!" She screamed. I smiled.
"I was only gone for two weeks! Besides," I spoke and sat up. "You're here now, aren't you?"
She nodded and saw my earrings.
"Love those earrings" she spoke.
"Aren't they soo cool! The person who made them must be very creative.... Oh wait, she's right here!" I spoke. We exchanged looks and laughed. I played with my bracelet as Luna sat up and looked at it.
"That bracelet's beautiful! Looks very expensive! Who did you get it from?"
"Draco. And I got this hair clip from Cho and this charm from Padma"
She nodded.
"Your lucky you gave all your friends presents then! Even you gave something to Draco"
"Im sure he'd appreciate a silver snake Christmas tree ornament"
She smiled. "It was thoughtful. And I bet no one really gave him presents."
I nodded and stood up, brushing the grass off my uniform. I glanced at Luna, she was wearing her Ravenclaw uniform too. Great minds think alike! I thought and she grabbed her suitcase and lifted it, carrying it to the carriages as they took off towards the school.

I played with my love heart charm bracelet and I looked at Luna and smiled. I wasn't scary; I was pale, yet I was still beautiful! The darkness deep down inside will always remain there. I'm going to never let it out. I am a child of God, yet I am of the devil. I have allied with death and went past it! I am immortal! But not yet, in 3 years, when I'm 15!

I walked to the dining hall and sat down at the Ravenclaw table, helping myself to a serve of pudding and settled down for the night in the Ravenclaw common room.

The rest of the term flew by quickly and I was happy when the term finally ended and I headed home for the holidays.
