Chapter 63- Dark Days

The corridors were full of students and I walked down the steps to the dungeons where I saw professor Snape and a few others. I saw that the Ravenclaw seats were full so I sat next to Astoria and Draco with the Slytherins. I saw a smirk appear on Snape's face as I took out my notes next to them.

The class started and Pansy sat on the opposite side of Draco, smiling. Snape explained the effects of vertasium and i wrote down notes, barely glancing up at him.
"... It makes the user vulnerable and useless, forcing them to answer the asker's questions without lying. Tell me, what would be a perfect instance to use it?" He spoke, trailing his eyes to me.
"Lovegood?" He asked. I looked up at him, grimacing.
"When you estimate someone is under the effects of polyjuice potion" I spoke. He looked at me and nodded.
"Yes. 5 points to Ravenclaw. And 5 points to Slytherin for the sour face." He spoke. I rolled my eyes and mumbled under my breath.
"Don't roll your eyes at me Lovegood. Or I'll take away points" he spoke, going back to talking. I trailed down to my mood ring and saw that it was bright red meaning angry. I smiled and looked at Draco who avoiding Pansy's talking. I smirked.
"Pansy can you leave Draco the F**** alone" I asked. She looked at me and turned away. Draco looked at me blankly.
"You needed it" I spoke to him and he nodded.
"You're soo much different. Did something happen over Christmas?" He spoke. I looked at him.
"Remember what I said on the train" I answered and walked out the door to my next class which was DADA with the Gryffindoors. I sat in a seat next to Harry and looked up at Umbridge as she walked in.
"Are you okay?" He asked. I looked at him.
"Obviously not" I spoke.
"Can you tell me what happened"
"Think of the worst possible thing that could happen to someone like me, Harry. Do you even have a brain? No wonder you didn't get into Ravenclaw. Courage isn't intelligence" I spoke and went back to my notes. He nodded and did the same, distracted by Umbridge's dull class. This wasn't dada. This was nothing.

"Don't forget exams are in two weeks" she spoke as I walked out the door to my next class.

A few weeks later, I heard about the Azkaban Breakout in the daily prophet. I gasped seeing that the Bellatrix Leastrange, the person who tortured Neville's parents into insanity. I ran to him after he walked back form the dining hall.
"Neville! Neville!" I yelled as he turned around.
"Hello Cass. Nice new hair colour" he spoke. I nodded and gave him a hug.
"I'm soo sorry about the Azkaban escape. If you need anyone, I'll be here for you. You should be proud to be their son" I spoke and walked away, leaving him confused.

I knocked thrice on the door and the eagle appeared.
"Hello Cassentina-Rose Lovegood. What room has no doors nor no windows?"
"A mushroom" I spoke and the door opened, welcoming me inside. I walked up the stairs and opened my door to my dormitory, taking off my cloak and sitting on my bed. I walked over to the window seat and took out my book Cho gave me for Christmas, starting to read. I heard the door open and I spotted Luna walking in.
"Cass" she screamed in delight, giving me a warm smile. I closed the book I was reading and stood up, giving her a quick hug.
"Happy 15th Luna" I spoke, letting go. She smiled and handed me a wrapped present.
"You didn't have to!" I spoke, smiling. I unwrapped the black paper to reveal a oracle cards that have a rose theme. I smiled.
"Thank you!" I spoke. She smiled.
"At least we can be called twins now being the same age and everything!" She spoke. I nodded, walking over to the set of drawers and taking out a black gift box.
"I didn't have time to wrap it" I spoke, handing it to her. "I hope you like it" I finished. She smiled and opened her present revealing a black beetle ring. She smiled and slipped it on her finger.
"Thank you" she spoke. I smiled and checked the time; 8:00am. I grabbed my books and waved goodbye to Luna, sitting down in the study area and finishing my journal entry for the day. I sealed it with a locking spell and placed it in my bag with my other books, studying for my O.W.Ls.
