The day flew by in a blink of an eye and I walked with Hannah Abott, a Hufflepuff as well as Neville Longbottom, a Gryffindoor to the Dining Hall. The hall was decorated with Halloween creatures and pumpkins. The lights were dimmed and the cutlery was orange and black themed, making the room look scary. I waved goodbye to Hannah and Neville as they walked over to their tables and I sat over next to Luna at the Ravenclaw table. Half the table was filled as did the Slytherins as the students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang were joining us. I looked over at Luna and smiled.
"Do you know what the tournament reminds me of?" I spoke, looking at Luna. "It reminds me of the Fountain of Fortune from the Tales of Beedle the Bard. Don't you agree?"
She nodded and smiled.
"Yes, definitely, but they aren't sick or anything horrible. And there isn't a fountain. But I could definitely relate to that." She spoke dreamily. I looked at her, thinking to what I told Ginny earlier and sighed.
"Do you think.... Well it's a stupid question. But I look identical to you, but I'm elder, what do you think will happen when I'm 15? Will a glamour come off? Or will I look the same" I spoke, wondering what will happen. I wish it didn't though.
Luna nudged me on my shoulder.
"I wouldn't know, but would you rather talk about it elsewhere.... Maybe a little more private. I have much to discuss there." She spoke quietly. I nodded and looked down and shuffled through my many thoughts.Someone tapped me on the shoulder and I saw that it was Padma Patil.
"Hello" I spoke, turning around. She sat down next to me, taking random glances at the Slytherin table.
"Hello, Cass. Do you know that you have an admirer? Draco can't stop looking at you" she spoke, smiling. My eyes widened and I looked over at the Slytherin table and spotted Draco staring at me, but once his eyes laid on me, he looked away.
"Someone has a crush on you" she chanted. Luna giggled as my cheeks flushed red. I knew he'd be watching me from now on, finding out I have a dark destiny. No wonder! He's related to death eaters like Bellatrix Lestrange and her husband, but then I am related to the head vampire, or should I say; I am the head vampire. I looked down at my empty plate and shedded a smile. From all this darkness there was in me, he'd make a light there. But I didn't love him. I felt strange around him; dark and famous. It intrigued me, fuelled me like fire in his presence, but I feel like the fire inside me is burning from someone else. But who? I'm going to live forever and.... And.... I frowned. No one will ever want me! They'll hunt me and kill me, people will hide their children from me and they'll tell stories about me to scare them in their nightmares. I'm just not cut out for this! I want a normal life. I want to grow old, have a family and die of old age. I don't want to be 15 forever. It is too much for me. I let a tear fall down my face and looked at Draco and sniffled. He looked at me sadly and Luna hugged me.
"I'm going to be young forever and everyone's going to grow up and I will watch them wither away and die. If people, found out my true identity, they'd barricade their doors and hunt me down. Children will have nightmares about me. They'll tremble at being isolated. I don't want this. I just want to be normal. Why me? Why was I the chosen one! I'm not evil" I sobbed into Luna's ear. She hugged me and I looked at Draco he was staring at me. I wanted to talk in his mind, or make him forget, but my mind, too was full of confusion and fear. So I left him alone in his thoughts. I could sense them and feel how he feels. I am getting too dangerous. I thought and let go in shock.
"... Luna?... " I spoke. She looked at me.
"Cassentina? What's wrong?" She asked.
"Think of something, anything." I replied. She nodded and I looked at her. She was thinking about that time at the astronomy tower, where we spotted a Nargle; in which I thought were fake. I can see how she felt. She felt amazed. It was a happy memory, but she was fearful of me, she was worried on how I would turn out. I looked away and she glanced at me blankly and smiled. My hands were trembling and I wiped away the tears with shaking hands.
"Luna... I think I discovered my full ability. My power is mind. Mind control, mind reading, feeling emotions, talking in the head and telekinesis" I whispered quietly so only she could hear. She nodded and looked at me.
"So what was I thinking?"
"Why?"
She smiled. "Just to see if your not lying"
I sighed. "You were thinking of the night of the astronomy tower and we saw a Nargle for the first time. You felt happy as hell, but you were worried and fearful of how I would turn into and what my destiny is as well as my future."
Her eyes widened and she nodded intriguingly. I sniffled a smile and wiped my teary face with a napkin, shedding a smile as Dumbledore walked up to his eagle stand.
"Good evening students. As you may know, tonight selected students from Beauxabatons and Durmstrang will be joining us...." He looked over to the door and filch the caretaker was jogging through the middle of the hall and towards Dumbledore, whispering something into his ear and jogging away. I looked at Luna and raised my eyebrows in confusion, looking back up at Dumbledore as he went on.
"... As I was saying. Selected students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang will be joining us this evening to hence the Triwizard tournament. Please welcome the students from Beauxbatons and their headmaster Olympe Maxime."
I looked to the back of the hall and it opened wide. A very large woman was walking in and behind her, beautiful girls wearing blue dresses and hats walked in and blew butterflies to the boys. They danced in symphony and I recognised one was a veela as the boys were acting strange. I smiled as Dumbledore welcomed Olympe as a visitor as she sat at a seat next to Hagrid. The students bowed and walked to our table and sat down.
"Hello, I'm Fleur Delacour. Senior" she spoke, shaking my hand. I smiled.
"Hi. I'm Cassentina-Rose Lovegood. You can call me Cass, Tina, Casey. I don't mind. Third year, but I am suppose to be a forth year. This is my sister, Luna" I spoke. She smiled and shook hands with her.
"Why aren't you in forth year then?" She asked. I smiled.
"I only found out a few weeks ago that I wasn't Luna's twin, I was her elder sister, by a year and were born on the same day. It's weird"
She smiled and looked over at the door as the students from Durmstrang walked in. My cheeks flushed red. They were soo good looking. I thought and watched them walk over and sit at the Slytherin table. A boy who looked like a forth year smiled at me and our eyes locked, I could see all his loving thoughts and feelings run through my veins but it all blanked out as Draco gave me a jealous look and I looked away. What do you think? Please vote and comment. I'd love to hear feedback and suggestions. Draco and Cassentina still have feelings for each other, but they won't last very long, since the Durmstrang boy gets in the way and Draco finds another girl. *spoilers*
Cass's future is getting dark as hell, so I'll keep updating as fast as I could to keep you intrigued and connected, getting addicted.
