I travelled a few weeks with the Scalamanders and I found Rolf really friendly and easy to talk to but I'd never come across in telling him who I really was. I was worried that he'll leave me, but my feelings were taken away and I sensed emotions very little so it seemed really conducting to me. I felt as if we were really good friends but he wasn't as close as I was to Draco and every day I'd think of poor Draco and how he was going on his quest for loyalty to the Dark Lord. He'd send me very coded letters saying that he was doing well as well as thanking me for telling Harry to F*** off. I'd found that I'd really wanted to join him as I had soo much time to spare but I'd keep worrying about people realising me not aging. A year younger than I'm suppose to look? but on the other hand, it was only a year. The day was coming to an end and Newt went for an early sleep, leaving Rolf and I alone. I swallowed hard. This was the time to tell him the truth. I'd know he'd trust me as we'd known each other for a few weeks almost to a month now, I just hadn't pulled up the courage. I wasn't a Gryffindoor for a reason. Knowledge is my stregnth. Not courage and bravery like so many other I know.
"Rolf?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled, offering me a biscuit. I shook my head.
"Not thank you" I pleaded. He nodded and placed the jar back next to him. He looked at me and raised his eyebrows.
"Do you ever think I could read your mind? See what you're thinking all the time" he spoke. I blushed and felt a funny feeling inside which made me feel sensitive, feeling weakness. I exhaled and looked at him.
"Do you trust me?" I asked. He glanced at me.
"Why?"
"Do you trust me?" I repeated. He staggered in his breath.
"Of course I do. If known you for about a month now" he spoke finally. I smiled a little.
"Rolf... I... I" I staggered, looking to the ground. He looked at me confused and held my chin up to see his eyes.
"You're really cold. Do you want me to grab your cloak out of your bag?" He asked. I looked down and smiled. Charming. I looked back up at him.
"No I'm fine. I need to tell you something and I don't think you're going to like me" I finally spoke, picking up the courage. He looked at me.
"I trust you. No secrets from now on. You tell me yours; I'll tell you mine." He spoke. I nodded.
"I... I... I'm not a good person" I spoke. He looked at me and laughed lightly.
"You? I wouldn't think you would hurt a fly" he joked. I grimaced.
"You don't know me at all then" I interrupted. He nodded.
"Please go on" he ushered. I nodded.
"Certain people are hunting me. Some people envy my power. Some people fear me" I spoke quietly, looking at his eyes. He nodded, listening.
"The Dark Lord... He envies my powers" I spoke.
"What are your powers?" He asked. I looked at him.
"I can do anything with the mind; control it, read it, move objects with it, speak into it, look into someone's memories, feel their emotions, wipe them clean, anything." I spoke. He smiled.
"That's amazing!" He spoke, a,aged, but stopped. "Yeah. Pretty evil thinking that you can wipe someone's memory clean" he spoke, shutting up his excitement.
"So how do you have these powers?" He spoke. I looked at him and took out a knife. He stepped back.
"I also can do something else" I spoke, lifting up my right sleeve and cutting under my arm.
"Cass. What are you doing?...." He stuttered, looking at my arm, but stopped as he watched it heal up instantly. His eyes widened in shock.
"You're... You're..." He spoke, shocked.
"Immortal?" I spoke. "Yes. I am" he stepped back.
"What are you?" He asked. "How old are you really?" He asked once again. I smirked.
"Firstly, I am actually 16 as my birthday is in February and I became immortal when I was 15 so I'm not a thousand year old woman, god no." I spoke. He nodded.
"So you're immortal and you have abilities. Are you a werewolf or anything?"
I smiled. "Soo close, but no I'm not a werewolf and don't be freaked out by them. I had one as a teacher in my third year and he is harmless and afraid of his ability. But then there is Fernir Greyback. The werewolf that changed the professor when he was a young boy. He's scary, especially being around him when he desperately lingers to kill you" I spoke. He shuffled back in fear. I laughed.
"Geez, you're not even up to the worst part and you're like a scared puppy" I joked. He swallowed. "I'm kidding" I spoke. "Come on, I'm not going to turn into a monster and eat you for dinner. I trust you. Now you need to trust me and let nobody know. Nobody. Otherwise there will be a death toll there" I spoke. He nodded, shuffling forward again and straightening up.
"So, you're not a demon"
"Nope" I spoke. "Even closer, but seriously Rolf, you wouldn't even of made it into the Ravenclaw Common Room with a brain like yours" I spoke. He gasped.
You're a zombie!" He spoke in fear. This time I actually laughed really hard, but I put a muffilo charm so no one could hear us. I stopped at looked at him.
"Seriously? A zombie. That's the stupidest thing I've heard in my life" I spoke. He nodded, hiding his redness coming onto his cheeks. I smiled. "Come on. You were close with werewolf" I spoke. He nodded and looked at the fire in deep thought for a minute and afterwards, he looked at me shocked.
"I got it!" He spoke, looking back at me. "You're a vampire" he spoke. I smiled.
"5 points" I spoke, smiling. "And that's 5 off 10 for not realising three things" I spoke.
He looked at me, confused.
"What three things?"
"Firstly, I'm no ordinary vampire. I'm the head Vampire" I spoke. He gasped in shock. I grimaced.
"The problem with being the leader is hearing all the others whining about power and when you kill a vampire, it has an affect on me, causing me to go into shock" I spoke. He nodded.
"Secondly?" He asked. I nodded.
"Secondly, we cannot be killed by anything but..."
"Garlic?" He interrupted. I spat a laugh.
"If I were a zombie, I'd find no brain in you're head" I teased. He nodded.
"Besides, garlic just burns us. What really kills us is a wooden stake to the heart and burning us alive. And killing the head vampire will be impossible only if you were of the same bloodline or you eliminated all the vampires one by one or suicide"
"And lastly?" He asked, trying not to make him get nightmares. I smiled, reading his mind.
"Lastly, most vampires join the dark side meaning they'd recruit themselves to the dark lord."
He looked at me shocked.
"Besides, I worked for Harry Potter on the light side at first and they wanted me to become a double agent but I bailed out and recruited myself, on a condition of not big being seen out. He envies me, you see. He knows I'm more powerful than he'll ever be so that is have to be stuck with him or he'd lose his mind" I spoke. He nodded.
"So you're a death eater"
"Technically, yes. I am chosen to be the head vampire for a reason. Only one will live the bite from the previous head of the same blood." I spoke. He nodded.
"Can I see the dark Mark?" He asked. I looked at him, confused.
"I'd think you'd run off like a scared puppy and abandon me speechless, and now you want me to show you the dark Mark? You're a keeper" I spoke. He smiled. I nodded and I lifted my left sleeve to reveal the mark. He looked at it, fascinated and studied it under the candlelight.
"Amazing" he spoke. I smiled and told him about my abilities, I took off my glamour once more and the next morning I woke and left for the end of my journey before I was ordered back to the dark hall for a meeting. Please vote, comment, feedback?
