The next day, I had a shower, got changed into my robes and walked with Luna to the kitchen, carrying my books in my satchel. I tickled the pear in the fruit bowl and the door opened. The room was filled with house elves and they looked over at us and smiled.
"What can we do for you, ladies?" They asked.
"Do you have any raw meat so we could feed the thestrals?" Luna answered. They nodded and came back with a small bowl of it. Luna grabbed it gently and smiled.
"Thank you" I spoke and we walked out of the kitchen and up the steps, out the door and into the forbidden forest. We spotted a pack of thestrals in an opening near the Care of Magical Creatures arena and they walked over, bowing their heads. I walked up to them slowly and patted their necks as Luna handed me a piece of meat and I fed it to them. They swallowed it down their throat and made that beautiful sound they make. I turned around and spotted Professor Hagrid walking over.
"Hello Luna and Cassentina Lovegood. How are you today?" He spoke.
"Hi professor. We're good, just feeding the thestrals" we spoke in unison. He smiled and walked up to the thestrals, patting them on their neck.
"Beautiful creatures aren' they?" He spoke. I nodded.
"They're the most amazing creatures I have ever met." I spoke. He smiled.
"Well, lucky for you. I'm going to be teaching about them today." He spoke. I smiled.
"Really? That's great!" I spoke. He nodded.
"Let's hope that Umbridge woman doesn't spoil it. She's going to be there to monitor my teaching skills" he spoke.
I looked at him. "Thestrals aren' bad creatures. They're just misunderstood. Just 'cause you see them when you've seen death, doesn' mean that ther' bad. They're just..."
"Different" Luna interrupted. He nodded.
"Yes. Different" he spoke.
"I'll see you first, Cassentina, do you mind if I call you 'Tina?" He spoke. I smiled.
"I'll see you then. And you can call me Tina." I spoke and waved goodbye, heading back to the kitchen with Luna.

"See you later, sis" Luna spoke after we came back from the kitchen.
"Bye. Have a good day" I spoke and headed to the infirmary as Luna headed to the dining hall.

I walked down the corridor towards the infirmary and passed a few Hufflepuffs as well as Professor Sinista and Professor Sprout who informed me of my essay due in the next lessons. I was just about to climb up the stairs, but I spotted Professor Umbrige walking my way, so I ducked behind the wall, but I was too late. She grabbed my wrist and pulled me in front of her.
"Miss Lovegood. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at breakfast with the others?" She asked rudely.
"I was just heading to the infirmary to help Madam Pomfrey and see a friend." I spoke. She glanced at me blankly.
"Are you lying?" She spoke. I shook my head. She blinked annoyed.
"And why, may I ask haven't you turned up to any detentions and I don't ever see you in the dining hall any more" she spoke. I looked at her. She got me. This'll be hard to pull myself out of.
"I haven't been turning up for your detentions as that enchanted quill you give me makes me faint and Madam Pomfrey is helping me with the recovery still. She insists I'd see her often for a check up. And I was just heading back from the kitchen, so I've already eaten as well as you must not be looking properly. I'm always in the dining hall for dinner and lunch." I spoke. She glanced at me blankly and looked at me with frustration.
"Am I bothering you, Professor?" I asked nicely. She glanced at me.
"There's a detention tonight waiting for you." She insisted. I sighed.
"I'm sorry, professor, but I have to report this punishment you call detention. It's too dangerous and scars people's hands forever." I spoke. She glanced at me and opened her mouth to say somethings but closed it.
"Why don't I tell everyone you're wearing a glamour?" She threatened.
"Is that a threat?" I yelled, trying to get past her blocked mind, but I sadly couldn't. I stopped and laughed.
"Besides, professor. Mostly everyone knows I got a glamour on. So it's not much to tell anyway" I spoke and walked off, shutting the infirmary door behind me.
"Phew" I breathed, leaning against the door. "That was a close call" I spoke and stood up, seeing that Neville was sitting on one of the beds.
"What happened to you?" I spoke, walking over. He looked at me and smiled.
"Just had a leg-locking curse put on me by Pansy" he spoke, standing up. I nodded as Madam Pomfrey handed me a cup in which I drank quietly.
"Phew!" He spoke, covering his nose. "What is that? It smells like dead animal" he spoke. I looked at the cup and nodded.
"Just some type of medicine I have to take" I spoke, checking the time in the circular clock.
"You have Care of Magical Creatures first, right?" He asked. I nodded and he walked towards me with shaky legs.
"I'm going to get those twits" he spoke, angrily. I smiled.
"You will." I cheered and placed the cup down on the table and walked with him down the steps near Hagrid's hut.
"So... We have found a place for our defence organisation. On the second floor corridor, in the Room of Requirements" he spoke.
"The Room of Requirements? That's on the second floor?" I whispered. He nodded.
"Near the portrait of those funny boys in dresses" he spoke. I nodded.
"When is the first meeting?" I asked.
"After class Tuesday" he spoke. "See you then" he answered and headed to the greenhouse. I smiled and ran down the steps to where Hannah Abbot was walking with Marietta Edgecombe.
"Hey" I spoke, stopping at the bottom next to them. They looked over at me and smiled.
"Hello, Cass" Hannah spoke.
"Did you hear about Professor Umbridge becoming the high inquisitor?" Marietta asked. I shook my head.
"No wonder, she's going to be at our class today." I spoke. They nodded and stopped at the arena.
"Can you see them?" I asked, pointing at the thestrals. Hannah nodded, but Marietta shook her head. I smiled and walked up to them.
"Isn't these creatures called thestrals?" Hannah spoke. I nodded.
"They can only be seen by people who've seen death" I spoke. Marietta nodded.
"They give me the creeps" Padma spoke, walking over. I nodded.
"They're misunderstood creatures though. They're not at al, bad, they're just different" I spoke. They nodded.
"Who has died for you to see them?" Padma asked. Hannah gasped in shock. "Not to be mean or anything" she spoke. I nodded.
"Well it was my mother. She did experiment with spells a lot, but one day when I was 10, one of her spells backfired in front of Luna and I. It was horrible"
"I'm soo sorry" Padma spoke. I smiled.
"It's alright. It's a bit sad sometimes. But I still have dad and Luna there." I spoke as Hagrid arrived, followed by Umbridge.
