She watched Luna as she eased her way up the steps and immediately after placing on the hat was sorted into Ravenclaw. She eyed her sister and gave her a warm hug before she seated herself next to her and looked up at Dumbledore.
"Let the feast begin" he spoke and food appeared at the table. Luna's eyes lit up as a tray of pudding appeared, she knew it was her favourite, so she served her some before she put one on her plate and began eating. She ate it slowly, but was unsatisfied of the taste left on her mouth and the disgusting smell of the pumpkin juice made her want to puke. She knew that she was extremely hungry for one thing; blood and the room grew around her as she could sense the blood around her. She looked at her plate and tried to get distracted by eating food, but the smell of blood was soo intense that she I couldn't hold it much longer. She stood up, but was faced with Professor Flitwick, the head of Ravenclaw house.

"Cassentina" he spoke with a smile. "Welcome to Ravenclaw." he spoke, shaking her hand with a warm smile. She smiled back. " Madam Pomphrey would like to see you now" he spoke as she let go of the breath she was holding and walked with him to the nurse's office.

Our footsteps echoed in the corridor as he spoke about Ravenclaw and all about the common room, the house points and the history. She nodded politely, but was barely listening as she was trying to drown out the hunger she was feeling.

Finally, when he opened the door to the room with a sign saying Infirmary, he tapped her on the shoulder and walked away. She knocked on the door politely, spotting a lady with a nurses cap and smiled.
"Cassentina, is it?" She spoke. Cassentina nodded and she ushered her inside, closing the door behind them. Walking to a chest of drawers in the corner of the room, she poured something into a plastic cup. The aroma hit her which she recognised as deer blood. When she handed her the cup, Cassentina thanked her and drank it slowly. Once finished, she placed the cup down on the table and sat down on one of the beds, wiping her mouth with a tissue and placing it in the bin beside her. Madam Pomphrey sat down opposite her on one of the other beds and smiled.
"So, it's hard being what you are?" She started, eyeing her. She nodded.
"You don't seem to frightened by my inhumanity" she asked as Pomphrey smiled and tapped her on the leg.

"You're not the first and certainly not the last creature I've encountered" she answered. Cassentina nodded.

"We're you changed by someone or anything?" she asked as she shook her head.
"My great grandmother was one and I was just unlucky I suppose."
"So how old will you become immortal?"
She looked at her and her interest in Cassentina. "I don't know" she spoke, looking away. She was right. Vampires don't age. "I guess I'm not fully a vampire yet"
She nodded. "And does the necklace protect you from sunlight?" Cassentina nodded.
"Have you ever tried human blood?" Cassentina frowned.

"No" she spoke, but it came out more of a growl. She flustered. "Sorry no" she spoke and looked at her. "But even not drinking it is hard to resist. Especially when someone is bleeding"
She nodded, understanding.
"Then how do you eat normal food?" she asked.
"Well I'd prefer blood but normal food doesn't fill me up, but I can still eat it. Just doesn't taste as nice"
She nodded and looked at the time on the clock.
"You'd better get going, see you here at breakfast tomorrow"
"Thank you"

As Cassentina headed out the door and down the corridor, trying to find her way around, she eyed Professor McGonagall and smiled.
"Professor" she yelled, running towards her. She turned around looked at her.
"What are you doing out of your dorms...."
She stopped and smiled. Tapping her shoulder, she spoke.
"Oh it's only you, Cassentina" she spoke, smiling. "Come. I'll show you to your dormitories" She spoke as she followed the professor up the moving staircases until they reached a door at the top.

She knocked on it three times, as Flitwick told her and an eagle head appeared, shaking it's metallic feathers.
"First year?" it spoke and she nodded.
"Password?"
"I don't know. I wasn't with the prefects."
It chuckled.
"Don't worry, it's not a password like the other houses, just solve a riddle"
She breathed a sigh of relief and smiled.
"What hunts in the skies at day"

"An eagle, is it?"
It nodded and the door opened.
"Your one of the slower ones, but I bet you'll rise above them. I could always tutor you someday"
It spoke as she smiled at it and watched as the door opened and walked inside. The room was a entirely a beautiful blue colour with dark blue couches and a bookshelf and a fireplace. She looked over at the bookshelf and smelt the old book smell and smiled. Helena Ravenclaw's ghost floated through and she smiled at her.
"Like reading?" She spoke. Cassentina nodded.
"I'd recommend this book" she pointed out and a book fell from the shelf and into her hands. She blew the dust off the cover. Amazing Creatures of the Forest.

"Thank you Helena" she spoke and turned to the side that read Girl's Dormitories and walked up the stairs. She found herself standing in a hallway, the bathroom at the end and rooms along the side. Reading the names along the doors, she easily spotted hers and three other girls names on a door, one that she instantly recognised as her sisters. She opened the door quietly, but instantly collided with her sister and dropped her book. She picked it up and smiled.
"Your back!" She spoke, hugging her. She hugged back
"How did you get in?"
"It's just a riddle and I guessed it"
"Cool" she spoke and spotted Helena behind her.
"Hello, Helena" she spoke with a smile. "I'm Luna Lovegood, and this is my twin Casey Lovegood"
"Nice to meet you" she answered.
"And I you" they answered and waved goodbye, heading into the dorm with Luna. She walked into the room and eyed two figures beside her on different beds. She eyed their sleeping faces wirh a smile. One had raven black hair and was wearing yellow pyjamas and the other had bright red hair with green pyjamas. Luna whisked away to take a shower while Cassentina changed into a pair of pants and a jumper, heading down to the common room to do some reading.

There were a few others in the room reading and chatting quietly in small groups. Cassentina sat herself on a cushion and opened her book, but was interrupted by the group of girls around her.

A Chinese girl in third year introduced herself as Cho Chang and welcomed her to Ravenclaw before she was approached by a Indian girl wearing an orange jumpsuit. She introduced herself as Padma Patil.

"I saw you with another girl only moments ago. Was she your twin? She looked just like you" she spoke as Cassentina nodded. Padma smiled.
"I'm a twin also but my sister Parvati was sorted into Gryffindor" She nodded. Cho smiled and looked at her necklace.
"You and your sister both wear interesting jewellery, especially you Cassentina. What's with the necklace?" she asked. Cassentina held her necklace firmly, feeling it's cool texture.
"Well, the necklace is a protective charm. The bracelet is from Luna. I gave those radish earnings to Luna for her birthday."
They nodded. Padma smiled.
"Can I see the necklace?" She spoke. She held it out to her where she studied it.

"Looks like it has a spell on it, you should take it off"
Cassentina shook her head.
"It's spelled for a reason" She spoke. Padma nodded and took out her wand.
"Stop!" Cassentina yelled, but Padma smiled and held her want to it. She closed her eyes. Silverium Ravenclaw Charmia. She breathed out in relief. The spell created a charm in the necklace with the eagle symbol and the stone became circular as she let it go. Cassentina smiled at it and looked back at her.
"I thought you were going to take it a second ago. But thank you"
She laughed and walked away as Cassentina opened her book once more reading a couple of chapters before she went back to her dorm for the night.

Later that night after she has a serious case of insomnia, she decided to have a shower and grabbed her change of clothes and toiletries and headed to the bathroom. Grabbing a towel, she closed the door and turned the shower on. She turned off the lights and placed her necklace and bracelet on a hook and walked in the water.

. . .

She grabbed her necklace off the hook and turned the shower off before getting changed. The faint moonlight in the room and the drip drop of a leaking shower was all she managed to sense around her as she tied her bracelet around her wrist and walked back to the dorm to place her belongings back into the drawers. She looked out the window. The view was amazing. She jumped as she heard a wolf's howl in the distance , but stopped and sat down at the window seat in the moonlight, falling asleep against the cool glass.
