Chapter 50- The Thestrals

I patted the thestral until dawn where I spotted Luna walking towards me. She yawned and the thestrals woke up, getting up from sitting position and walked over to her. I stood up and woke the little baby up and it walked over to its mum, cuddling into it. I smiled as they stretched their wings and Luna hugged me as she handed them raw meat to eat. I grabbed a few pieces from her satchel and hand-fed it to the baby. She smiled and finished the pieces of meat off, taking out a pair of clean clothes out of her bag.
"Thanks" I spoke, doing a clothes changing spell and felt the dry, warm clothes on me. I tied my hair up in a high ponytail and took out my wand to put back on my glamour. She shook her head and took out her wand. I nodded and closed my eyes as I felt the blanket of the glamour on me. She smiled and I looked at he thestrals who were looking at me and bowing in regard.
"Do I look different?" I asked. She nodded and handed me a mirror. I smiled. She must've put a light glamour on as my hair was still the after-shoulder-length and my face was a little bit paler. But my teeth were shorter and my eyes turned yellow. She smiled and I stopped, handing back the mirror and grabbing my dirty clothes, walking with Luna back to the castle.

"Why didn't you come back to the common room?" She asked. I looked at her.
"I can't sleep nor eat. Don't you think that's suspicious enough. Besides." I glanced at her. "It is stronger and it's getting harder to control"
She nodded and looked up at the sky.
"Sun's up. You coming to breakfast after we head to the infirmary and the common room?" She spoke. I nodded and we walked up the steps. Luna grabbed my robes and placed them in her satchel as we crept up the stairs to the common room. We knocked the eagle door knocker twice and the metal eagle head popped out. It shook it's metallic feathers and yawned.
"You're up early Ravenclaws" he spoke. "But I must say what is the answer to this riddle? What is lighter than air, but a million me cannot hold it?"
I smiled. "That's easy! A bubble!" I spoke and it nodded as I headed inside. The room was reasonably quiet and I crept up the stairs to the girl dormitories and placed my washing in the basket, grabbing my toiletries from my drawer as well as my uniform in using my scarf and heading to the showers with Luna.

After the shower, Luna looked at my hair and smiled, but shook her head.
"Stop!" She spoke and took out her wand.
"Glamourine" she spoke and the full glamour was placed on. She nodded and we walked back down the steps and towards the infirmary.

I walked with Luna back from the infirmary and we walked to the dining hall, with our books in our satchels. While Luna ate, I read my Divination boom as I had it first up and pretended I didn't see Draco and the Golden Trio studying me. I glanced at the first page where it was talking about palmistry. I looked at my palm and saw that it had the longest life line than everyone. Pretty obvious! I thought and waved goodbye to Luna and headed up the stairs to the divination classroom. I will miss having classes with her. I thought as I pulled open the trapdoor and Professor Trelawney greeted me with fear in her eyes.
"It has happened hasn't it?" She spoke with her bug-like glasses covering her eyes. I nodded and walked over to the cushions and sat down. I was early for this class and no one was there yet, so she sat down next to me and hugged me, but let go.
"Very cold, very cold" she spoke and walked away, grabbing a crystal ball from the stands.
"You're a bit ahead for this, as I see. You've been reading and I know there is going to be danger very soon. Friday the thirteenth. But in the meantime, your new friends are to be trusted, but the platinum green boy is the one to watch out for... A new family has come to you and your sister and I see greatness, but betrayal will come February the 24th. I don't see you back at school next year. Good choice." She spoke and looked over at the trapdoor, walking over there mumbling. "One will not succeed and two will have a short life. One will have immortality and one will strife"

I shrugged, writing down what she just said in my notebook and stared at the crystal ball on the bench. It changed colour and swirled, showing me images of what will happen. Voldemort was looking at me and I was around the golden trio and the silver trio, my glamour falling off and him laughing. "I knew it" he spoke and I saw the order of the Phoenix helping us and I dropping my secret to everyone, but the golden trio. I gasped and dropped the crystal ball, seeing it shatter and my eyes widened. I took out my wand from behind my ear and spoke oculus Repario. And it returned back to its original state as placed it back on the shelf, writing down what I just said into my notebook and placing a charm on it, before the other Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs walked in. Padma, Marietta and Rehanna all from Ravenclaw sat next to me and I looked over and spotted Hannah and Suzan sit down in the seat behind me. I knew he was getting suspicious, but I kept my head low until the end if the lesson, writing in my notebook as Trelawney spoke with fascination in her wonderful voice.
