Harry POV
"Isn't Cass part of the order? Why isn't she turning up to meetings? Where has she been going?" I asked to Remus, confused. He looked at me and nodded.
"I feel you have the need to know"
"Don't Remus. He's too young to understand" Arthur interrupted. Remus looked at me.
"Cass left the order and went on her own quest"
"What, she joined the dark side and told Voldemort everything?"
"She's the head Vampire for crying out loud, Harry. She is connected to every vampire and don't you think she'd want to sort things out." Remus yelled.
"But it's obvious, isn't it. She's the Head Vampire. She has to be with the death eaters. She's protecting Draco" I spoke. Arthur nodded.
"What did she say about Draco?" Arthur asked.
"She said that I should leave Draco alone as he is going through a hard time and he is not borne evil. He has no choice and he deserves better" I spoke. They nodded.
"And why? Does she say that to you?" Arthur spat.
"Because they're both death eaters" I spoke.
"You can't make accusations soo suddenly, Harry" Remus spoke.
"But we're not saying she's not. She could be. But I would say vampires don't exactly follow people's orders, especially being the head. I believe she goes her own way and does her own thing, good or bad" Arthur spoke. I nodded.
—Cass POV
I was sad that Christmas was nearly over, I was looking forward to Hogwarts again, but I knew that Draco had to take a huge stand in his task. I breathed and finished tying the bow of Luna's and father's present, placing it under the tree before the sun rose. I brushed the dust off my dress and walked up to the attic and sat on the windowsill, looking at the ceiling Luna painted. It had a circle of faces I recognised; Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville and I. There was writing surrounded by it and it looked like swirls at start, but then I realised it had the same word repeated over; Friends. I smiled and watched the sun go up over the mountains, with an explosion of colours around it. I smirked and opened the window, letting the rays hit my cold skin. What I missed most wasn't sleeping, eating or breathing; it was feeling emotion and sensing light and smell. When the rays hit my skin, my instincts wanted me to to back away and hide in the shadows, but I closed my eyes and let it overwhelm me until it was above the house and out of sight."Luna" I spoke, opening my eyes and looking at her as she sat down next to me, giving me a warming hug. I hugged her back, but she let go, shivering. "Sorry" I spoke, looking down to the ground. She said nothing as she had nothing to say that would make me feel better. She simply stood there and walked back down to her room. I felt a wet tear fall down my cheek and onto the ground as I snuggled up to a soft blanket, my knees to my chest. I've never felt soo alone. Even though my feelings make me want to suck a mortal dry, I'd waited there and just looked out to the field, where I spotted a dear and a fawn eating the morning dew grass. I smiled at them, waiting until Luna and father finished breakfast before I went down, placing the presents under the Christmas tree. Father smiled and seated next to me on the ground in front of the tree. Luna stood there and walked over slowly, examining every inch of the tree suspiciously. I smirked.
"There's no Nargles in the tree" I spoke. She looked at me and smiled, walking back to where we were sitting.
"But there is still wrackspirts and what about nifflers?" She spoke, concerned. Father laughed softly.
"I'm sure they're not here, Luna. Don't you want to hand out the presents to everyone." He spoke. She nodded and sat down in her knees, handing me a present from under the tree. I grabbed it and admired its silver-blue wrapping. I opened it, making sure I didn't rip the paper and pulled out a gift box with a letter. I placed the box down on the ground and read;
My Queen,
I have received your letter and I accept your offer. Just owl me at time and place. I'll be there.Merry Christmas also. I hope you enjoy my gift.
Dezman CresentI smiled at the letter and threw it in the fireplace before the others read it, picking up the gift box and opening it to reveal a beautiful Ruby diadem. I smiled, placing it back in the box and looked at the other presents next to me Luna handed out. I picked up a small black one next, with fancy wrapping which I assumed was from Draco. I unwrapped it gently and opened the box to reveal a black pen engraved with red roses. It was beatiful! I thought, admiring it. I placed it in its box and put it in my opened pile with the diadem. I looked over and saw that there was three more;
- a large present including a blue jumper with a rose on it from mrs Weasley including two cakes, a charm bracelet with a rose, quidditch rings, an eagle, books, moon, crystal ball, star and heart charms from the golden trio plus Ginny, Cho, the Patil twins and Neville as well as a very long letter from members the order (Remus and Dumbledore).
- a simplistic small box from Luna with an anklet with moons. To remember me by. She wrote. I glanced at her and smiled, placing it on my ankle along with the similar one she gave me last year.
- FINALLY!! A small, long present richly wrapped in red paper. I opened it, confused as to who it's from and it revealed a dagger engraved with crystals and withering red roses. I looked once again at the dagger which read Queen Cassentina-Rose; Head Vampire on the blade in silver, blending in to it. I smiled and placed it in my shoe for safekeeping before dad or Luna saw what I got.I looked at father, smiling as he handed me a box. I smiled, thanking him and opened the box to reveal a brown hand sized stone. I picked it up and admired its sparkles texture. I knew this stone very well; bloodstone.
I'm sorry for the late update! I've been editing the middle recently and haven't really had access to wifi as well as busy with assessments! I am in year 10 for god's sake! Please vote, comment and I will make sure to post as fast as I can!
Simone—
I gasped and saw the Weasley house burned to crisp. I saw the other death eaters burn their house to a crisp and Harry being stupid, chasing after them. I'd just stuck into Harry's mind and watched the whole thing flash before my eyes. I didn't really care anymore. My problem was one I couldn't solve, so I turned to my one only friend.—
