Chapter 61- Christmas🎄🎄

The year flew by and I walked with Luna down the Ravenclaw Tower stairs with our suitcases. Gee wasn't I glad that the year was over, especially with Umbridge teaching. I hope when I come back from Christmas it'll all be better. We waved goodbye to Professor Flitwick and Trelawney, wishing them a Merry Christmas. We bumped into Neville, Ginny and Hannah on our way to the carriages. They walked with us and I nicely let Luna share a carriage with them to the station, leaving me to share one with the others; which luckily was Marietta, Parvati, Padma and Cho.
"Glad the year's over" Marietta spoke as the carriages started moving. We nodded.
"I hope there is still more meetings when we come back..." I spoke, but looked at Marietta and Cho who looked down, saddened. "Come on, guys. Marietta, it's not your fault. You were in the wrong place at the wrong time. And Cho. You got forced to speak by the effects of vertasium. You had no choice." I spoke and got off the carriages, onto the Hogwarts express with them.
"Besides" I spoke, looking at them and smiling. "Umbridge will get karma" I spoke, smirking. "Merry Christmas." I finished and walked down the train to Luna's compartment. I walked past the 'Slytherin section' and hastily bumped into Draco, who looked at me and smiled.
"Hello Cass. Going home for Christmas, are you?" He spoke. I nodded and headed down, but he stopped me.
"Cass. There is something different about you and I will find out what it is soon enough" he spoke. I grimaced, but hid it with a smile.
"Maybe we all are a bit different." I answered. "Maybe we all have our little secrets" I spat, turning away. "I must say." I spoke, turning around. "Life isn't easygoing. You will do something for your family, but not for you. Find your path and follow in your footsteps, not those who are afraid of fate. Good luck. You'll need it" I finished and walked down the train. I read his mind. I knew something about his future and he'd thank me for it someday. Even if he works for the other side. What can I say, I am evil. It's in my instincts. I thought and slid the compartment door open revealing Luna, Ginny and Neville. I smiled and shut the door behind me, taking a seat next to Luna.

I walked out of Platform 9 3/4 with my friends and Luna. I spotted dad standing near the platform. Luna and I ran up to him, giving him a huge hug once we laid eyes on him. He hugged us back and smiled.
"I've missed girls dearly" he spoke, letting go. He placed a lilac flower behind both of our ears and nodded.
"Gotta stop byllerimm grafts" he spoke. I smiled and looked over at the Weasleys. I laid eyes on Ron, Ginny, Harry and the others, they smiled and walked away. I turned back around and walked with Luna and dad out of the station and we grabbed our suitcases, disaparating home.

I walked up the stairs to our room and chucked our bags on our beds. Our room was covered in tinsel and holly with a decorated tree in the corner. I smiled and placed the presents I bought at Hogsmeade under the tree for tomorrow. Luna did the same and once she finished, we dressed in our matching Christmas dresses and headed down to the stream to get plimpys for soup. We raced each other down the hill and once we reached the bottom, we laid down on the grass laughing as we looked up at the sunny, blue sky. I laid back and closed my eyes in harmony, but immediately I got soaked by a bucket of water on my head. I opened my eyes and looked at Luna who was giggling uncontrollably. I stood up and smirked, grabbing a bucket and pouring water all over her.

Once we were all drenched, I did a clothes drying spell (I could do magic as the trace has gone off me) so we were all dry and looked in the river, grabbing plimpys and placing them into the bucket until they were full, then we ran back up the hill back to our house.

We were puffed by the time we reached the door and opened it, plopping the buckets on the kitchen bench. I spotted dad behind us and he walked up to us, looking in the buckets.
"Wow there must be a geminio charm on this or are the plimpys multiplying?" He asked. I smiled and giggled.
"We have luck by our side..." I spoke.
"... And the wrackspirts have invaded your head, daddy" Luna finished. He smiled and picked up the buckets, placing them in the sink.
"Who wants to help me?" He asked. Luna and I exchanged looks and nodded, grabbing a knife and rinsing the plimpys, cutting off their shells. We placed the finished product in a pot and cooked it on the stove with water, herbs and a sage leaf. I stirred the pot until it was bubbling and all the herbs and spices have disenegrated, leaving a thick soup. I poured out two bowls and I grabbed a cup, filling it with deer blood and handed them the bowls with spoons while I drank out of my cup.

After Luna did the dishes and placed the rest of the soup in a jug in the food cupboard, we headed upstairs into our room.
"Goodnight Luna and Cass" father spoke as he headed to his room on the third floor, us up on the forth. Luna yawned and we changed into our pjs, as she laid down on her bed.
"Goodnight Cass" she spoke, closing her eyes and dozing off into a deep sleep.
"Goodnight Luna" I whispered and headed up to the top floor, sitting in the windowsill reading my copy of intermediate transfiguration until the sun came up the next day.

Luna opened her eyes and yawned the next morning as I sat in my bed, waiting for her to wake up.
"Morning Cass" she spoke, barely glancing at me.
"Merry Christmas" I spoke, waiting for her to get changed before we opened our presents. I remember handing Grēnese presents to Cho, Padma, Ginny, Neville, Draco, Harry and Hermione last night. I saw her fly in this morning with
2 other owls carrying presents. One of the Owls was black and had shiny feather, which I knew was from Draco and the other was a brown tawny one which belonged to Cho. The other one was my own which carried presents from Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Neville. I placed them under the tree before Luna woke up and handed the Owls water and a snack before they headed off into the sky.

Luna walked out of the bathroom, wearing her dress she wore yesterday that matches mine. She smiled and we sat down in front of the tree on our knees. Luna grabbed the first 2 presents which were wrapped in brown paper and she handed it to me, opening the similar one. I took out the piece of parchment attached and read it.

Dear Cassentina-Rose,
Merry Christmas. Thank you for the Quidditch charm bracelet (Ginny). Harry says thank you for the snitch keyring as well as Hermione thanks you for a copy of a thousand untold stories. I hope you like the present from all of us. The you know what is still going and padfoot and moony say Merry Christmas and to inform you about another you know what at you know where at same time as last time. Hope to see you then. Or I'll see you back at school.

I smiled and folded the parchment opening the present revealing a knitted blue jumper and a red rose mood ring that changed colour depending on your mood. I smiled and slipped it on, seeing that it changed to a yellow meaning happy. I saw that they gave Luna a matching knitted blue jumper from mrs Weasley and a palette of paint. She smiled and placed it aside, handing me a present wrapped in black and red shiny paper, which I knew was from Draco. I ripped it open to reveal a journal with a black background and a rose in the middle. I smiled and opened the first page to reveal a letter written on the first page.

Dear Cass,
How do you know soo much? Be careful. They are watching you. Thank you for the snake keyring. My dad wasn't too happy knowing that you were the only girl that handed me a present other than pansy whose present wasn't that good. Hope to see you back at Hogwarts.

I placed the journal aside and opened the last 3 presents from Cho, Neville and Padma. They revealed a rose scented perfume from Padma, a pressed rose box from Neville and a copy of Tales of the blue sky; A novel of Magical Artefacts from Cho. I smiled and placed the presents on my desk, handing Luna her present as she did the same. I pulled open the bow to reveal a moving photo of us. I smiled and hanged it up beside my bed. Luna excitedly opened her present and smiled with glee as it revealed a sketch book with muggle pencils. I thought it was creative. She ran up and hugged me tight. I smiled and walked downstairs to meet father.
