Grammar/Structure: 

The book needs to be edited, as it currently has so many grammar and spelling errors that what the author is trying to say is difficult to understand. Although the dialogue is properly punctuated in some parts of chapters, it is not correct in other parts of the same chapter. Dialogue needs to be treated like a separate sentence, within the quotation marks, so words must be capitalized at the beginning and punctuated at the end. Dialogue tags must always be lowercase, even if the dialogue itself ends in an exclamation mark or a question mark. Also, any dialogue without a dialogue tag can be punctuated with a period, but if a tag is present, it can only be punctuated with question marks, exclamation marks, and commas.

It simply needs to be read over and put through basic editing procedures, as grammatical errors can be easily removed by reading aloud. Once it has been edited, it will be easier to read and readers, such as myself, won't have to force their way through.

Character Development/Pace: 

The characters are developed and it's easy to understand their intentions due to the information revealed about their past. The pacing of the plot is also well done, however, some things are confusing and don't fit with previously given information about the scene. It's difficult to figure out the seriousness of certain situations and the general theme because the author switches back and forth between the emotions conveyed. It could be that the scene has several underlying feelings but the feelings are usually related and in this case, they were not.

Vocabulary/Description: 

The range of words was varied and original. Some of the descriptions were very well done and the details added to the overall scene. However, because the spelling was so poor, it made enjoying the descriptions seriously difficult. The different and descriptive vocab helped but when those words are spelled incorrectly, appreciating the variations in language can be hard to do.

Or, the requester can ask for all of this to be reviewed. There are two options when making this request – for it to be sugar-coated or not.
