John hummed, gathering the basket of fish he'd caught that day as he prepared to head out. No one knew where he went to every day after catching the whole basketful, but he was always punctual with his own times.
The thing is, John had his own little secret. Just a short bit away from his village lived a Neko girl he'd been taking care of for a couple of years now.
As he walked and neared the grove of trees he knew the Neko would be resting, he began to click his tongue to alert her of his presence. "Miku, my dear, are you awake?"
Sure enough, a deep rumbling could be heard and he knew exactly what it was. She was purring. Her huge form was still hidden in the trees and she knew he was there, but he didn't know where she was.
His walking slowed as he glanced around nervously, knowing what was to come; and sure enough, after he came to a halt a giant figure leaped through the trees and pressed him into the earth below. "Master!" He heard the giantess Neko squeal happily, earning a chuckle from the human.
"Miku dear." He responded, patting one of the large hands that held him down. She was huge. He had to be only one-fourth of her height. He was nothing compared to her massive form, and her hands easily pinned him. Too often he found himself feeling like a mouse, even if she wasn't that large.
The Neko's hands lifted him effortlessly off the ground as she cuddled him into her chest, still purring. She was always happy when he showed up. He was her only friend after all. "I'm glad you came again."
"I promised you, every day at this time," John responded softly, leaning into the Giantess's warmth. That is until one hand completely encircled his torso and waist and he was lifted in front of her face. Her eyes were sparkling excitedly, her mouth curled into a smile revealing two fangs on either side of human looking teeth. "Come now Miku, I'm not really interested in games today."
"But master!" She said with a whine, rolling onto her back and holding him high above her on his stomach, her hands supporting his legs and torso as his arms gripped onto her fingers. "We didn't play yesterday, can't we play today?"
He met her eyes, seeing the mixed emotions behind her deep violet pools. Sadness, excitement, even a pleading look. After all, she was alone almost every day except for the tiny bit of his own time he takes to visit her. Guilt began to swim in his own heart. "Miku, I-I..." He trailed off.
A group of men emerged from the trees, ropes in their hands and Miku's large ears twitched before she sat upright. "M-Master we have to go now!" She pleaded with the human in her arms, only to realize what was going on when he pushed himself away from her. "M-Master...?"
"I'm sorry Miku," John whispered in response, turning his back to the Giantess and the men to avoid seeing what was to come. Guilt continued to swim through his heart and mind. He thought he had grown tired of taking care of her, of seeing her huge happy face every day. So he had gone to the town council and informed them of the 'threat' living nearby.
He led the group of men silently through the trees, making noise to keep the Giantess Neko from overhearing the multiple sets of footsteps. He's letting them take care of the 'problem' in their own way. And he's ignoring the panicked and desperate pleas that can be heard echoing behind him. The way her voice sounded so pained, hurt. She was sobbing, he could tell. And trying to struggle it would seem with the way the ground beneath him was vibrating.
Only when the pleas stopped and the vibrations ceased did he know it was over and done with. The strong stench of blood began to already permeate the air. And quite a few people in the village were looking at him with questioning eyes and curious gazes as he went into his own home.
But he ignored it.
