Suggestion from Sweetikelisa

"So Micah, you up for a little bonfire tonight?" An older teen boy with black hair and blue highlights said with a wide grin, pushing strands of said hair from his face.

He was attractive if that's what you're into. Leather jacket, jeans, nose ring. He was thin but muscular. He looked like one of those guys you would be terrified to run into in a dark alley.

"Sure thing, Jacob. How many people plan on showing up? You going to invite any of the humans or is it just giants tonight?" Micah, Jacob's closest friend said with a smirk. He knew most of the human and giant female's alike were constantly flirting, always trying to get with him because not only is he insanely popular but his parents were the owners of a major company that supplied both human and Giant necessities, so they were quite rich people.

Jacob scoffed quietly, tossing his head to the side and knocking his hair out of his face. "Didn't plan on it. Especially Veronica, the bitch."

Micah rolled his eyes and smiled at his friend, about to respond when he noticed some commotion on the other side of the cafeteria. "What's happening over there?"

Jacob turned in the direction his friend was talking about. "I dunno. I'm going to go check it out, stay here." He looked at Micah briefly before making his way to the side of the cafeteria where humans ate, naturally watching where he stepped.

The human side was simply a table the giants used with human-sized ones across it. One table was large enough for the less than half the school population of human students. Not many wanted their kids in a school made for both Giants and humans.

On top of this table, most humans were already gone, but a small group of maybe four girls crowded around another who looked maybe his age. She was standing with her back to the edge of the table, facing him. The other girls looked mean, agitated. And the one on her own, despite her being only a little bigger than his finger was visibly shaking, scared.

He got close enough to where he could make out only parts of their conversation.

"You get that was our table right? We always sit there. We sit in a group. And when you tried to do whatever the hell you thought you were doing you made one of us sit in another spot." A blonde piped up. Clearly, that was not her natural color. If anyone knew anything about hair dye it was Jacob.

The girl on her own was clutching her lunch tray tightly, still shaking but didn't utter a word.

The same blond knocked the tray from her hands and it clattered to the surface of the table, spilling the uneaten food. She looked ready to shove her which would have sent her over the edge of the table. And Jacob was not having that. Not at all.

He may have the whole 'bad guy' look but he refuses to let another student get treated like that, let alone shoved off a surface where she could plummet to her death. But he wasn't going to cause a huge scene.

"Is there a problem over here ladies?" He questioned as he finally stood at the edge of the table, pushing a hand through his hair and watching the humans all turn to look at him.

The group of girls somewhat anger melted and it turned into quiet squeals and giggle fits. "Not at all, Jacob! What're you doing over on this side of the cafeteria?"

"Oh, you think I didn't see what was going on sweetheart? You were ready to push her, right off the table. If she died, I'd have been a witness, and I'd have gladly testified in court. I would gladly send you to jail. Bitches get stitches. So do me a favor sugar, think before you do." Jacob, while talking, still flashed them a charming smile.

The girls' smiles faded and they started backing away from the Giant. The blonde looked ready to shoot a comeback, but one look from him made her and her friends scurry away and into the passages built into the walls of the school that the humans used to get everywhere.

Once he was sure they were gone, his attention turned back to the other girl who was silently cleaning up her spilled meal. "Hey. You okay?" Jacob leaned back against the table, towering over the still trembling female. "I'd help ya out there if I could but I can hardly see where it all went."

The girl still said nothing, her hair hiding her face from him. He wondered if maybe he was scaring her.

A different Giant walked over, a teacher this time, and stood directly in front of Jacob. "Wearing nose rings or any piercing in school other than your ears is against dress code. Just like those highlights Mr. Adkins. If you don't have them gone by tomorrow I will report you to the principle."

Jacob cast a glance at the human girl then looked at the male teacher in front of him. "Of course. Oh, but, only after you stop sending dick pics to the underage female students, humans and Giant's both. If that doesn't stop, I'll report you. Only, not the principle. Maybe the police. Or my parents. My parents would be able to ensure you didn't get out for a long, long time."

A smirk perched on his lips as the smug look on the teacher faded, the man instantly began fumbling over his words and staring at the teen in disbelief. "Wh-How do y-you...?"

Jacob still said nothing and waited until the teacher turned away and walked off before again looking back at the human girl.

Now she stood with her back to him, her shoulders shaking. He could hear soft sobs. "Hey, listen here. Girls are mean. I know that for a fact. My last girlfriend was cheating on me, using me for the money my parents have. Oh well, her loss. So tell me something. What're the fake bitches doing screwing with a quiet honey like you?"

Mimi didn't know what to say, her whole body still betraying her as she shook and despite how hard she tried to fight back tears she couldn't. The one time she put herself out there. The one time she attempted to maybe make a friend this happened.

But that wasn't why she couldn't speak. This was Jacob Adkins. A boy she would never have dreamed would be talking to her. She's always loved his style. The leather, the piercing, even the music she would hear him listen to. A lot of emo, rock and roll style music that most of the other students would call trash. They wouldn't call it that if they knew he liked it. They'd pretend to like it just to get closer in his circle.

"I'm Jacob." He spoke up again when she didn't, his large hand lowering near her with his pointer finger extended.

It took her a second to realize he was trying to shake her hand and used the sleeve of her blue jacket to wipe her eyes. Hesitantly, she reached one of her hands out and grabbed the tip of his finger, doing her best to shake it. "M-Mimi. I-I'm Mimi."

Jacob could tell she was flustered, but not because of why the other girls were. This one seemed more confused. In disbelief. "You okay?" He asked, smiling warmly down at Mimi as she finally seemed to be calming down.

"Why...a-are you talking to me? You're the popular guy, I-I'm the quiet one, i-it sounds like a bad romance novel." Mimi spoke softly, playing nervously with the strings of her hoodie.

"Are you seriously that kind of stereotypical person?" Jacob laughed lightly, ignoring the way she flinched at the sound. "What's your next class, darling? I'll give you a lift."

He'd handled humans before. His last girlfriend, the bitch, was human. Lowering his hand, he set his palm up on the table next to Mimi and offered her the most charming smile he could muster.

Mimi looked up at met his gaze, swallowing the lump in her throat as she then looked at his open hand. She's never been this close to a giant, let alone willingly get into one's palm. She was scared. But his smile was reassuring.

Hesitantly, she stepped onto the warm and strangely leathery surface and looked into the violet eyes watching her. "I-I have History with Ms. Collins."

Jacob, still smiling carefully lifted his hand and cupped his palm, using his free one to ensure she didn't fall, putting it around her back which hopefully made her feel safer than she looked like she felt.

Mimi was silent, playing with her long brown hair and casting glances at the Giant above her, watching her. But she didn't feel threatened.

She sat at that table looking for a human friend. Instead, she got something way bigger.
