Back to the grind

Evie pov
The day after Serenity graduated I had to Tammins so I could get back to filming the Avengers.

The plane touched down and I got up from my seat. The people in front of me got off and then Binx moved and grabbed my bag from the over head compartment. I put my earbuds in and follows him off the plane. We got off the plane and waited for Brooks, King and Jett.

We went to the baggage claim and got out luggage. Jett tapped my shoulder and motioned for me to take my earbuds out.

"What's up?" I asked.

"The car is almost here. And we are going straight to set. Your agent texted and told me to tell you that." Jett said.

"Alright," I took my phone out to text Vinnie:

Evie: hey just landed.
Vinnie: great

Vinnie: lol
They've been lathered twice and so have I
Don't forget your own spf while filming.
Evie: I won't

"Come on the car's here." Jett said.

We left the airport and King and Brooks put the bags in the car as I got in.

We drove to the set and right up to my trailer. I jumped out and Binx and Brooks also got out. Jett and King were going to take our stuff to the hotel.

I went into my trailer and my assistant Kathrine was waiting.

"You're late," she said.

"I know our flight got delayed." I said.

She gave me my suit and I quickly changed. I then ran out of my trailer and ran to the hair and makeup trailer for makeup. Chris H. Was there.

"Hey you made it."

"I did," I said as I took a seat and the make up artist went to work doing my makeup.

"How was your cousin's graduation." Chris asked.

"It was great. She's grown up so much." I smiled.

When my hair and makeup were done I went out to set. I got a microphone and then took my place so we could film the scene where Nat was talking to Loki to figure out his plan.

Tom and I managed to have a good take with in the hour.

"That's a wrap on the scene, get Clark and Hemsworth and Sam in here for next scene." Joss yelled.

I headed back to my trailer. Chris Evans was casually leaning up against my trailer.

"Hey princess," he said.

"Hey how's life?" I asked.

"Pretty good, how about yourself?" he said.

I felt my phone start vibrating refusivly in my bra. I pulled my phone out.

"Wait what?" Chris said clearly confused.

"What?" I asked.

"Why did you keep your phone in your bra?"

"That my business." I said looking at at least twenty text messages from numbers not in my phone.

"What?" I asked confused.

I went into my trailer to go through them. Only one number was saved in my contacts and that was Davy. I didn't know any Davy's. I opened the chat.

"What is this? How did I get put in this?" I texted.

"This is the Newsies Group chat, Kat. Hope yer manager told ya." One number texted.

"What?" I texted back.

My manager ran in. "Don't check your phone." She grabbed my phone.

"Why am I in a Newsies group chat? It's been almost ten years since I was in Newsies." I said.

"They're doing a film of the Broadway show. And they want you to play Katherine." She said.

"When does rehearsal start?" I asked.

"Right after you finish avengers. I wanted to talk to you before I gave them a definitive answer." She said.

"Well I definitely want to be in it." I said.

-three weeks later-

After we wrapped with filming, I had to fly back to Angels since the next day I had to be to be in the dance studio tomorrow morning.

I unlocked the door to my house and went in. Vinnie came to the door and kissed me.

"Hey I missed you." He said.

"I missed you too." I put my arms around his neck. He kissed me again.

"Now we can relax and go back to Waverley." Vinnie Said.

"Did I not tell you?" I asked.

"Tell me what?" He asked.

"I'm going to be in Newsies." I Said.

"What?" He asked.

"They're Doing a Broadway Newsies movie. And the original Katherine is pregnant so she can't be in it so they asked me, and I said yes." I said.

"Newsies that takes me back." Vinnie smiled.

"Back to when we weren't married and living in That studio apartment." I said as I stood on his shoes.

"I'm gonna miss you so much," Vinnie said.

"You've got to go back to Waverley to deal with your art galleries." I said. He nodded as we went and sat on the couch.

"What are we going to do with the kids?" I asked.

"Well since they're out of school. They could stay here or come back to Waverley with me." Vinnie suggested

"I haven seen them in weeks, so I guess they could stay with me." I said.

"Are you sure?" Vinnie asked.

"Unless you want them," I said.

"I'm not going to keep my children from their mother when they haven't seen her in weeks." Vinnie Said.

Paint came down the stairs and over to us. Paint licked me, he had definitely missed me.

"And what about Paint?" I asked. "And the guards?"

"Paint can stay with you and we have twelve guards. We each could take Six?" Vinnie suggested.

"Alright," I yawned. I got up.

"Let's go to bed." I said as I took Vinnie's hand.

In the morning I got up early and went and woke my kids. They were so happy I was home. But I felt bad that I was going to be busy while Vinnie was away.

I grabbed breakfast then went to the dance studio.
