So in honor of the on going Olympics in Rio. I decided to write a chapter of Nick and Evie's first Olympics.
Mom was brushing was brushing my thick hair out. "Ow!" I said as mom pulled at my hair. "You definitely have my thick hair." Mom said. Mom put my hair in a pony tail. "Now let me see you." I got up and turned around. I'd chosen the blue uniform. Since we were given the choice of red, white and blue button ups.

"You look amazing. I can't believe your going to be in the Olympics." Mom said. I smiled. A knock came at the door. "Come in." I said. "Ready Evie?" Nick asked. "I think so, am I ready?" I asked mom. "Hold on, I want to take your picture first." Mom said. She ran out and returned with Pop's spare camera. She took our photo, then we left.
We sat in the stadium next to the stadium where the opening ceremony was being held. I was on my phone, Nick was next to me reading a book. I looked over and it wasn't English. "What are you reading?" I asked. "The Name of the Rose." He said. "What language is it in?" I asked. "Italian," he said.
Joyce and Hope came up the stairs in the white over shirts. "Wait did you two get to pick your color?" Hope asked. "Did you not get to?" I asked. "No, they just sent us the white uniforms." Joyce said. "Weird." Nick said. He then muttered something in Italian.
A reporter came up the steps tapes us. "Hello your Highnesses, I hope I'm not bothering you but could we do a quick interview. We've been interviewing some of the other athlete." She said. Nick said something in Italian and we got up.
"I'm here with Princess Evangeline and Prince Nicolas," the reporter said into the camera. "How do you two feel tonight?" She asked. "I think we're both feeling nervous, yet excited. I mean this is our first games. Any competitor would be nervous and excited about their first Olympics." Nick said. "That and were continuing our parents legacy." I added. "Are you two excited to be walking in the opening ceremony?" She asked. "I think we are. Every athlete is looking forward to the opening ceremony Parade of Nations." I said. "That and we are home. This is our country, and were excited to be walking in the First Illean opening ceremony. It's an honor that our parents can't even say they've done in Their Olympic career." Nick said. "But who knows when their career will end. Their coaching the swimming team along with our god parents." I said. "Ah yes Michael Phelps, Lauren Phelps, Missy Lochte and Ryan Lochte. And their daughters are also competing. We'll talk to them later." The reporter said.
We walked back to our seats. Nick went back to his book and I went back to my phone.
We were lining up to walk out of the tunnel after Zimbabwe. Since we were the host country, we were last to walk. "As soon as we get out. Get on my shoulders." Nick said as he handed me the Illean flag he had. "Alright. Are you sure you can do that?" I asked. "I'm sure." Nick said.
We walked out of the tunnel and Nick and I stopped in the middle of the crowd. Nick put me on his shoulders. I waved and cheered while we walked through the stadium.
When we got to where we were supposed to go, Joyce helped me get off Nick's shoulders. Nick put his arm around me. And I put my arm and the flag around him as if we were sharing a blanket.
"Now introducing The Royal Misfits." The announcer said.
Sage and his band appeared on a floating platform in the middle of the stadium.
(Imagine it's like in the middle of an Olympic stadium)
We screamed and sang along with Sage. He grinned at us as he sang.
When the opening ceremony ended. We went to the palace. Nick and I couldn't stop talking about the Parade of Nations. Sage also had that same jittery vibe from preforming In The opening ceremony. "Alright you three calm down." Aunt Ashlyn said as she rested her hands on her stomach. (A/n: Remember she's pregnant with Serenity) "Come on Ash cut them some slack. They're excited." Dad said. "I've had five red bulls." Sage said excitedly. "Alright then. Go run it off." Dad said to Sage.
Sage ran down the hallway towards the garden. "Where's Sage going?" Aunt Meg asked as she walked towards us. "To run off his energy drink high. He said he had five red bulls." Dad told her. "I though we took red bull away from him." Aunt Meg said. "You need to switch him to decaf." Dad said. Aunt Meg laughed. "But anyways. You too looked amazing tonight." She said as she hugged Nick, then I. "You two are going to do great." She said. "They've got to get in bed. They've got training early in the morning." Mom said. "Take Sage with you." Uncle Luke said as he walked toward us. "I don't think Sage will get up after he runs off his energy." Dad laughed. "How many red bulls did he have?" Uncle Luke asked. "Apparently five." Aunt Meg said. "I'll tell the guards by the garden doors to carry Sage to his room after he's passed out." Uncle Luke said as he walked away. "Alright you two to bed." Mom said. She kissed our heads, then Nick and I walked to our rooms.
