Jealousy: a deadly feeling. Can break relationships if too much is added. Jealousy: an emotion hard for Jun to control.
Jealousy is a parasite that feeds off of its victims sanity, masking over the ruins it left behind. It takes a tenacious shield...
Soonyoung yelled as the music blasted from the speakers and everyone scurried to their positions at the start of the dance. The first song Seventeen was going to perform was 'U' by Super Junior. Dripping with sweat, the members moved in sync with each other to the beat of the song. Wonwoo began the song perfectly, followed by Jeonghan's angelic voice.
Despite how fatigued they were from the aches and sores of hours of practise, Seventeen managed to ride with the music and perform perfectly. Jennie and I arrived not too long ago, bringing drinks and snacks for the boys. She and I decided to visit the boys after finally finding a place where the boys could showcase their performance, and finalizing the paperwork for renting the stage with the help of Jennie's mom. She dropped Jennie and I off at the dance studio in their dorms complex and headed back to her house. The place of performance was to be held at a public entertainment and fashion festival.
Ash left shortly after renting the stage to spend time with Hyungwon (without Winter knowing). Winter left to do what Winter did best, which was re-watching her favorite Netflix shows until 4 a.m.
After the song ended, the boys collapsed on the floor. Seungcheol was the first to get back on his feet and grab a towel to wipe his oily face.
"Alright everyone get up, let's do 'Happiness' then you can proceed to your sub unit performances," S.coups commanded.
"Ah, hyung! Please, let us take a break!" Woozi repined.
"At least 15 minutes, please," Seokmin begged, out of breath.
"Guys!" Seungcheol shouted. "We need to get this done at least a week before the day of our performance at the festival! You don't have to join this, so if you're going to slack off then leave!"
The boys, Jennie, and I were taken aback by his words. Many looked genuinely terrified. I attempted to calm him down, hoping that he would listen to me.
"Oppa, they're tired. Let them rest; you need it too. Just twenty minutes, it's not that long," I mitigated.
Seungcheol looked at me and sighed. He looked back at the rest and apologized for his outburst. He then gave them a thirty minute break, much to the delight of the boys. Seungcheol staggered towards my direction and plopped down next to me.
"Look at you, you can't even walk properly!" I lightly scolded. "Don't overwork yourself, okay?"
Seungcheol sighed and leaned his head on my shoulder. He held my hand gently and rubbed the back of my palm.
"I'm sorry..." He whispered, solemnly. "I scared you, didn't I?"
I let silence answer his question, but the look he gave me told me to directly answer his question. I looked away from his puppy eyes and leaned my head on his, as I stroked his brown, wavy hair.
"It's alright; I understand. Just please get some rest. I'm worried about you."
We stayed in that position comfortably, as silence enveloped the two of us. My head moved upwards from the position it was on before.
"Hey, Seungcheol oppa," I started, "I just realized something."
He raised his eyebrows, making his eyes look bigger, and hummed in response.
"I just stroked and laid my head on your sweaty hair."
He burst out laughing and hugged me in the process. I tried to push his damp shirt without making as much skin contact as possible.
"Gross!" I gagged.
Seungcheol finally let go of me and stuck his tongue out.

I rolled my eyes at his childishness, and tried standing up to wash my hands, but to no avail. Seungcheol chuckled as he tugged at my hand, trying to get me to sit down again. He accidentally pulled too hard, sending my left foot slipping in another direction, and my body towards his direction. Just before I could fall, two arms wrapped around my stomach, creating butterflies fluttering inside, and helped sturdy me again.
"Hyung, be careful. Tori noona could have fallen," Minggyu told.
For a millisecond, I thought he was Jun, since he always seemed to be there in unexpected moments. I turned to face the giant and thanked him for catching me before I could fall. When Minggyu left, Seungcheol stood up next to me and whispered:
"I didn't like the way he wrapped his arms around your waist."
I turned to face him, only to find a blank expression with jealousy evident in his eyes. I blinked twice while repeating what he said in my mind.
"Oppa, he was just saving me," I whispered calmly, "If not for him, I would've fallen."
"So, you're on his side now? And not your actual boyfriend's?" He deadpanned-whispered.
I widened my eyes and took one minute step back. To say I wasn't even a little bit scared of my boyfriend at that time would be an downright lie.
He softened his expression and sighed, "Just don't let any guy outside your family, but me, hug you like that, okay?"
"O-oppa..."
"Okay?"
"Okay."
He reached out his hand to rub my cheek and tuck my loose strands of hair behind my ear. I tried not to flinch at his touch. He noticed my tension and immediately gave me a genuinely sad expression.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't trying to scare you. Gosh, I'm a monster."
"No, no, you're not-" but before I could continue what I wanted to say, Seungcheol continued his apology.
"I just wanted you to know that I love you, and I don't what anyone else to claim you. You're mine, and only mine."
I lightly smiled and wrapped my fingers around his wrist.
"I know you're tired, babe; but, please, try to control what you say. I was scared for a second there," I consoled.
He smiled ear-to-ear. I asked him what was wrong.
"You just called me 'babe,'" He giggled, silently, in a sing-song voice.
