The atmosphere surrounding the two idol groups wasn't nearly as cheery as usual. Today was the last day they would spend together, as the variety show they'd been participating in all week would be completely wrapped up by the end of today. No one wanted to leave so soon.
"Last breakfast together." Jin whined.
"Yeah." Jihyo quietly agreed.
Jimin nodded sadly, subconsciously staring at Mina with longing. Mina met the gaze of his sad eyes and shared his strong emotions, knowing how much he loved those he felt close to. Looking around at everyone else, she sighed.
"I know this our last day together, but we can't be too sad about it. As idols, we know that it's hard to stay with those you care about, as we all have to go back to our tight schedules. But in the future, when I look back to this day, I want to remember it being a day full of happy memories with the people I love." said Mina.
"You're right." Nayeon said.
"We'll have the most fun in our whole entire lives today!" agreed Sana.
As the level of excited chatter began to rise, much different than the depressing gloom just moments ago, Mina glanced back at Jimin. He had a newfound spark in his eyes as he stared at her once again, the beginnings of a grin forming on his lips. Mina blushed, feeling glad that she was able to bring a smile back to his face.
A few hours later, they were all in a local dance studio, awaiting their next task.
"I'm sure all of you know what we came here to do." the host began.
"Dance!" yelled J-Hope.
"Then eat together!" Jin continued.
"Uh, yes. Then you'll eat, I suppose." The host said, thrown a little off-track at the irrelevancy of Jin's comment. "You and your team members will prepare a dance routine. Each group will then perform their routine in front of everybody." He paused for dramatic effect, which was promptly ruined by Taehyung's gigantic sneeze. The host sighed in defeat. "You have five hours." he said, with an air of finality, then turned to leave.
The members of both groups quickly found their team members and got to work, separating into their individual dance studios. After a crazy week, the feeling of being in a practice room was familiar to all of them.
"So," Jimin said. "What should we do?"
Mina's face scrunched up adorably in thought, not going unnoticed by Jimin. "Well, we should do something that makes us stand out from the others." she concluded. "I heard that Jeongyeon wanted to do a funny routine. Momo is obviously dancing to pop music." After a few moments, her eyes lit up. "We both did contemporary and ballet! We can do that for sure!"
Jimin nodded in agreement. "Let's hurry then, we only have five hours to create a routine and practice it." He stood up, then held his hand out for Mina, who gladly accepted it.
The thing about dancing ballet and contemporary choreographies in pairs is that it can sometimes require a lot of intimacy and close contact. Not that they were complaining. After two hours of hard work, they had finally completed their dance routine. When they first started, they would jump and blush awkwardly at each other's touch. As time passed, they became absorbed within the music, the dance, and the calming presence of pne another. Now, Jimin's hands lay naturally at Mina's waist, pulling her as close to him as he possibly could. Mina's arms were around Jimin's neck, their foreheads inches apart. For hours, they practiced non-stop. By this time, the dance was perfect. They had become one.
