A Secret For Two ~ Part 4

          The soft whisper of the evening breeze filled the air, as bright slivers of moonlight danced around Mina, who was walking home. Smiling, she reminisced of her wonderful time with a certain someone.

         Only an hour ago, her arms were wrapped around the nape of his neck as their lips met under the shade of their magnificent hideout. It was sweet and slow as they giggled into it. His fingers were tangled deep within her silky, black hair. The other hand rested on the small of her back, pulling Mina's petite figure closer to him. After what seemed like an eternity, they pulled apart. Jimin softly cupped Mina's face with his hand and stared deep into her eyes, their noses touching.

"I like- I mean- I'm in love you" Jimin said, for what must've been the thousandth time. Mina giggled.

"I love me too!" she teased, knowing how he would react. Jimin chuckled.

"Ugh, Mina!" he wailed softly.

"Fine... Love you  too." Mina beamed. She knew he was someone who always craved and needed love and attention. He was just like that. Jimin smiled right back at her. Even then, she had been surprised at how willing she was to be with him.

         Mina skipped up the steps and unlocked the door. Closing it behind her, she took off her coat.

"Oh! Mina's back!" Jihyo called, who heard the door open.

"Jihyo! Where are you?" Mina responded, her voice echoing through the hall.

"We're in the living room! Hurry, we almost started eating without you!" 

"Whoops, sorry!" Mina apologized as she rushed into the living room, where all the lights were turned off. All eight other members of TWICE sat on the floor around the TV, full take-out trays littered amongst them. Mina quickly sat down and grabbed a pair of chopsticks. The other members' eyes were glued to the screen, where the latest episode of yet another Korean drama was playing. Spotting a nearby tray of noodles in front of Tzuyu, Mina leant over to pile some onto her plate.

"Mina, what's that on your neck?" Tzuyu asked. Confused, Mina looked down, only to realize that she was still wearing the tiny necklace. In the light of the TV screen, it sparkled like the stars she had been looking up at not long ago. Nayeon looked over and gasped.

"Mina! How did you get that?!"

           Everyone tore their eyes from the screen at her loud remark.

"That's such a beautiful necklace!" Sana commented.

"What's wrong with it?" asked Jeongyeon, her mouth stuffed with food.

"What's wrong is that the necklace is worth a ton." Nayeon explained.

"What? Really?!" Mina gasped. She knew that it must've been mildly expensive, but she had no idea Jimin would willingly spend that much money on her. "Are you sure? How do you know it's this one specifically?"

"I definitely recognize it. I visited a designer's jewelry store and the clerk explained how it was one-of-a-kind." Nayeon continued. "How did you afford that? Our next paycheck isn't in months!"

"I-I didn't buy it. It was a gift from a friend!" assured Mina. Oops.  TWICE didn't know about Jimin yet. If they found out, Tzuyu would be teasing her for days on end.

"Who?" Jihyo asked, suspicious.

"She'd have to be super nice to give away something like that for a gift." Sana reasoned.

"Umm... I-It's not a she." Mina confessed, getting more and more nervous.

"It's a guy!?" Jeongyeon said, incredulous. The whole room practically exploded with their remarks and questions.

"Aww... That's so sweet!" Sana squealed.

"Mina! What if people saw you outside? They'll start dating rumors about you!" Jihyo asked, concerned.

 "Whoa! Calm down!" Chaeyoung said. "She'll just be a bit more careful next time. Plus, they're just friends."

"She's right, we're making a big fuss out of this." Momo quickly agreed, "Plus, I'm hungry!" Most of them resumed eating their meal, feeling a little less in shock. Tzuyu, however, knew something was up, and that Mina was a terrible liar.

"There's something you haven't told us yet." Tzuyu said. Mina sighed, realizing that there was no way out.

"Also, h-he might've asked me out?" She revealed.

"What?!" The rest of TWICE screamed unanimously. This time, the entire dorm exploded.

"Who is it?" Dahyun asked.

"Bangtan Seonyeondan's Jimin." said Mina, who then proceeded to tell everyone the whole story, all the way from the beginning. There really was no point in lying.

"Oh! No wonder you're always on your phone!" said Momo. Mina nodded her head bashfully.

"Mina has a boyfriend! Mina has a boyfriend!"  Tzuyu sang, an evil expression on her face.

"Lucky." Chaeyoung pretended to pout.

Mina knew she was teasing her, but she smiled nonetheless.

          After a long day, Mina headed up to her bedroom, happy to finally get some sleep. She crawled under the covers and stared out the window. The clouds had seemingly disappeared in the midst of this beautiful night. Looking up at the stars, Mina realized that, yes, she really was very lucky to have someone so kind and caring in her life. She wasn't planning on changing that, ever. Mina had always been reserved and hard to get close to. She protected herself, for she knew how fragile she could be. However, she could not see or sense any dishonesty from him. Closing her eyes, she traveled back to the grove and spent the rest of the night in the best company. Dreams are a magical thing, allowing her to do anything she wanted, all in her head. However, this time, sitting in his arms under the soft moonlight, it all felt so real.
