27 hours.

It had been 27 whole hours since Minmin went missing, and Mina was losing her mind. She hadn't slept since the night she received the news. And now, at 3:00 in the morning two days later, she still couldn't bring herself to rest. She couldn't help it. Mina hadn't felt this worried in a long, long time.

Nothing they tried seemed to work. They were on their own, as their managers had no idea the kitten existed. The nine girls snuck out to put up wanted posters. No reply. Jimin used BTS' huge following on social media, blatantly asking their fans if a kitten matching Minmin's description was found. Still nothing. It was a risky move. People could definitely trace one end of the lead to the other. And with Taehyung and Sana's fiasco already into the mix, that was a dangerous revelation now open to discovery by the public. But at this point, they didn't care. They were desperate.

Mina tossed and turned under her covers, groaning in frustration. The phone on her bedside table vibrated. Giving up on sleep for the thousandth time, Mina clicked on the notification, not bothering to check who it was. She already knew who the text was from. Jimin had been texting her nonstop for the past two days. To be honest, she enjoyed it quite a bit, but was too distracted to dwell upon that thought. Mina thought that this whole ordeal would be over in a pinch, but sometimes, including now, she felt like the entire world was trying to prove a point to her. Don't try and hope, it'll never work out.

The only new part of her life that seemed to have stuck around was Jimin and his friends. Over everything that happened between the two groups, new friendships were bound to forge. And so they did. Mina was glad to have such wonderful friends for support. Even if one of such friends was texting her at 3:00 in the morning.

Bringing the phone up to her face, Mina read the new messages that flashed across the screen.

Minari.

You still awake?

I know you are... Because I know  you.

We'll find her.

Mina was almost tempted to type up a sarcastic reply, but ultimately decided against it. Jimin had been nothing but kind and helpful these past few days. To be honest, it had been like that for a while, even when nothing was wrong. But now that something was, Mina was glad he was at her side. And yet, the hidden, restless side of her still lingered. She couldn't just stand around anymore. She sat bolt upright and stumbled out of bed. She was going for a walk. Just before she left the threshold of their apartment, Mina realized she had left Jimin on Read. She quickly grabbed her phone and hastily typed up a reply.

Thanks, Jimin.

I  think I just need to clear my head for a while.

Deliberately choosing to leave her phone behind, Mina walked out the door. Her phone buzzed violently on the counter, but its owner was long gone by then. Jimin's frantic texts were left unseen.

Mina?

Clear your head?

What do you mean? What are you doing?

Mina?

Mina!

You're going out for a walk again, aren't you?

Please don't do it. It's not safe.

It's two in the morning!

You can't go alone.

Minari.

Mina!

The girl in question was already seven blocks down the street, letting her legs autopilot the rest of her in any direction. She didn't know where she wanted to go. Only that she wanted to go somewhere. And just like always, the world was there to prove its point.
