Mina lay in bed, curled under the covers and bored out of her mind. Yet, she couldn't bring herself to move. To do anything at all. For months, she spent her free time just lying there, thinking. Just thinking.

At first, she tried to lose herself in a drama or a game. But there were always love stories involved, and it hurt to watch. Why couldn't she have that as well? How was it possible that, in the end, there was always a miraculously happy ending for all fortunate couples? Her very own situation was like a drama - one that was all too real and one that went very, very wrong. There was no possiblility of a happy ending from what she could see. Eventually she stopped watching them, finding her own jealousy and longing to be far too unbearable. Rolling over, she sighed. Why did it all go so wrong? Just because of a chance encounter with the media, their lives were torn apart. Mina knew that she wasn't the only heartbroken one among her members, yet she was glad that they continued to check in on her. As if on cue, Sana entered the room.

"Mina-ya? Want to go out with us?" she called. "It'll be quick."

"No, I'm fine." Mina responded. She didn't feel like going. Just like always.

"Mina, it's not healthy to be like this. If you're not going to join us, can you at the very least promise us that you'll go for a walk?" pleaded Sana.

Mina thought about it for a moment, her eyes trailing towards the ceiling in thought. She exhaled softly. "Okay, I will."

Sana nodded and left the room. Mina snuggled back into the covers and listened for the familiar click of the front door closing. She lay there for what seemed like several more hours, when in reality it was simply a few minutes. Mina swiftly pulled out a photo that she kept inside her pillowcase and stared at it. It was her and Jimin, smiling joyfully up at the camera. It perfectly captured the moment where they'd shared a small, candlelit meal. Suddenly, it struck her that she hadn't been there in such a long time. Filled with a newfound sense of determination, she decided to take Sana's advice and rolled out of bed. Grabbing a coat by the door, Mina tucked the photo in her pocket and headed out.

Time passed by much quicker than before, and she found herself in the little tree grove. Slowly walking towards the centre, Mina stopped directly beside the small canopy opening. She was not yet inside the beam of light that spilled in through the ceiling. In awe, she brushed her fingertips along the dancing rays. This place was so special, filled with precious emotion and important memories. It was only then that she lost control.

Mina didn't know how it happened. But, standing in that place, it all came back to her. All at once. Voices resonated through her head. She could hear Jimin's worried voice, exactly the way it sounded in the past.

"I know what you're thinking. Mina, none of this is your fault."

"If this is really our last chance to talk, I- I just want to say that I'll wait as long as I have to. I'll wait until we can finally be happy together."

She collapsed onto the cold ground and sobbed, an endless waterfall of tears sprouting from her glassy eyes. An innumerable amount of memories came whizzing back and left their mark. JYP's harsh, stinging words hit her once more. It was as if he was right there, watching her. Talking to her. Yelling at her.

"But, you are an idol. It's time you start acting like one."

"I'm very disappointed, Mina. I expected more from you."

In addition to the voices that tortured her with immense longing or regret, thousands of angry and malicious posts flashed before her eyes.

"She's such a snake."

"Jimin, you could do so much better."

"If they're smart, they'll break up with each other."

How can people be so cruel? Why don't they understand how it hurts? But, the worst part wasn't the memories themselves. It was the fact that Jimin couldn't be there to help her. To guide her. To love her. And because of that, she kept crying. It seemed like it had been an eternity full of sorrow.

Until she felt a pair of arms wrap around her.

Mina's body stiffened, shocked by the sudden contact. No. It can't be.

Jimin.

It was all too familiar. He was really there. Still sobbing, she returned his embrace. She didn't want to let go. Both their bodies shook with tears of both joy and sadness. Were they really so different anyways? It was seemingly an entire lifetime later when they loosened their grip and started into each other's eyes. Mina could see his glassy eyes shattering before her own. Her voice trembling and cracking, she spoke up.

"J-Jimin... Why us?"

He shook his head in response. Jimin read the look in her eyes and placed his hand on her cheek. Together, they calmed down and took deeper, more relaxed breaths. After a few moments of silence he finally said, "I don't know. But at least I'm here with you."

They shared everything with each other. It was too much to cover in such a short amount of time. But for them, it was enough. As they talked and talked, their heads drew closer and closer, finally meeting in the middle for a kiss. But, not just any kiss. This one had so much meaning. They poured out their unsaid sorrows, joys, hopes, and dreams for the other to hear. To see. To understand. The salty taste of tears were still in their mouths, but they didn't care. There was a lot to catch up on, but it was better to get lost in the most precious moments, while they were still there. Jimin and Mina fully intended to savour it. After all, they might not get another chance.
