Maybe I was making a bad decision by doing what I was about to do, but I saw no other option. I couldn't talk to anyone else about this. Calum and I were better now, but I still didn't want to talk to him about my situation. I definitely couldn't talk to Audrey, Kyle wouldn't care, and I wasn't that close to Ashton and Michael. What else was I supposed to do? I had been thinking about it for a couple of days now and my only option was to go to the source of the problem.

Luke.

I knocked on the front door, my heart beating fast. I didn't even know what I was going to say to him. I hadn't thought anything through, my mind made a decision and my feet followed. I was supposed to be staying after school for  meeting, that's what I told my mom. But I needed to talk to Luke.

There were some loud bangs inside and I took a step back from the door, not sure what the noise was. Seconds later, the door opened and Luke's head popped out. Part of his chest was revealed, meaning he had no shirt on.

"Hi, Caroline." He smiled at me. I didn't know why Luke had no shirt on but I had an idea. It upset me, and I felt a pang in my chest. Not only because of my feelings for Luke, but because he was cheating on Audrey again. Unless, she was the girl inside.

"Uh, I'm sorry if I interrupted something.." I trailed off, ready to leave.

"What?" Luke asked. I gestured to his bare chest and he looked down, realizing what I meant. "No, no, no. I was changing." He laughed.

"I heard banging and I just thought.." I trailed off again, suddenly feeling embarrassed.

"I ordered a some pizzas and I thought you were the pizza delivery guy, even though I just ordered it about ten minutes ago. I rushed down here and almost fell down the stairs, but I hit the wall. That was the banging you heard." Luke laughed again, obviously amused at what I thought was happening.

"Oh, I, um-"

"Do you want to come in? I was just about to go to the guest house with the guys." Luke bit his bottom lip, trying to hold in another laugh. I nodded as he opened the door further and let me in. "I'll be right back." He jogged up the stairs and left me in the living room, just standing there. I thought about sitting down, but I didn't know if I should. I was feeling nervous and overthinking everything, even sitting down.

"I'm back," Luke appeared at the bottom of the stairs wearing a black shirt, stopping when he saw me, "Why are you just standing there?"

"I don't know, really." I laughed nervously as Luke continued toward me walking past me and into the kitchen.

"Do you wanna stay for pizza? That is if it ever gets here." I followed behind Luke, watching as he reached into the cabinet and pulled out two cups.

"Well, yeah. I mean, I do need to talk to you." I sighed, standing beside him awkwardly and leaning against the counter.

"Are you okay? You seem a little off." Luke walked away and went to the fridge, pulling out a jug of orange juice. I watched him pour the juice into the cuos and put the jug back in the fridge. "Well?" Luke handed me a cup and took a sip of his.

"I'm good," I nodded and sat my cup down without even tasting it.

"Really? Because I know you don't particularly like me, yet here you are in my house and no one invited you over this time." He wasn't being rude about it, he was just stating the obvious. He was right, all except for one thing: I did like him.

"I just think that you and I need to talk." I said.

"About what, Care?"

"Care?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow at him. I had never had someone give me a nickname, and Care wasn't one I would think of someone giving me.
