I had been living in Salt Lake City for two weeks now and I still hadn't made any friends. It was my fault really. People had tried to talk to me but I pushed them away. I figured there was no sense in making friends if I couldn't even see them outside of school, my mom still being a control freak. But I was lonely. Audrey still talked to me, a lot actually. I didn't mind though, I enjoyed her company. And although I was more connected to her boyfriend than she knew, we still got along really well.

But everytime I seen Audrey, Luke was there. I didn't know if it was because she dragged him along with her everywhere, or because he followed her everywhere. Either way, it was annoying as hell. I couldn't even talk to her without him being there. Audrey didn't seem fazed by it, considering he was her boyfriend.

Luke was still a douche to me, when Audrey wasn't around. He was playing the same game he pulled with me, that he was sweet, comic book nerd of a teenage boy. I honestly couldn't believe she bought it, that I bought it. I wanted so badly to tell her about who Luke really was, but I remembered what my dad said. You don't interfere with someone's relationship.

I was currently walking down the hallway from my locker. The school day had just ended and I was making my way to the corner my brother and I usually met at. I didn't know why we chose that corner, I guess we just both knew where it was so we figured 'why not?'

"C'mon." Someone said as they swiftly walked by me and grabbed my arm on the way. I looked up at the culprit and saw that it was Luke. He was wearing a red buttoned down flannel and black skinnies with red converse. It was still weird, seeing Luke wear color. I didn't think I would ever get used to it. And though I seen him only a couple of hours before, his clothes still sent a feeling of shock through me.

"What are you doing?" I pulled my arm away from him and stopped in the middle of the hallway, making an inconvenience for people who were walking behind me.

Luke stopped also and turned to face, letting out a deep sigh. "We're going for a drive."

"No, we're not." I shook my head at him. I didn't know what would make him think that I was getting in a car with him, he was insane. Besides, my mom would not like me leaving with him.

"Just c'mon, Caroline." Luke reached out for me but I took a step back.

"I'm not going with you." I said sternly, "My mom wouldn't stand for that." I was coming up with an excuse since he wasn't processing that I wasn't leaving with him. And this excuse was actually true.

"I already told your brother that you were going with me. He'll tell your mom."

"Why were you talking to my brother?" I was hoping that he hadn't found out about Audrey and Kyle being friends. I felt like he would blame it on me, try to say it was some kind of plan I had. Maybe I was overreacting about the whole thing.

"Does it matter?" Luke rolled his eyes, "Are you coming, or not?" I stood there motionless and didn't say anything. Luke sighed. "If you're coming, meet me in the school parking lot in ten minutes."

I stood there for about five minutes after Luke left, debating whether or not I wanted to go with him. I couldn't fathom why he would even want me to go with him. What did he have planned? I didn't even know where he was going to take me. Maybe he just wanted to talk. But about what? With the way he had been acting lately, I doubted that he would just want to have a civilized conversation. That wasn't his character.

Before I could stop myself, I began walking to the school parking lot. I wanted to know what Luke wanted, why he wanted me to take a drive with him.

I made it to the parking lot and looked around. I didn't see any sign of Luke, I didn't even know what his car looked like. I was wondering where Audrey was, usually Luke drove her home. Then I remembered her telling me earlier that she had debate club. Not to be rude, but no wonder she had no idea that her boyfriend was a cheater. She was always so busy with activities after school that Luke could mess around with the whole school and she would have no idea. I could only imagine how many girls Luke had been with.
