Kyle and I had spent the day in the city doing absolutely nothing productive. We had visited a few bookstores, only because I forced him to, and even gone to a record store. I had only tagged along because Kyle wasn't allowed to drive unless I or one of our parents were with him, and although it had been raining most of the day, I didn't mind. I was actually looking for any opportunity to get out of the house because my mom had started to question why Luke hadn't been around. She suspected that whenever I left the house that I was going to visit him, but I mostly just walked around or went to the park or something. She was really late on timing, and I knew I should have told her the truth, we weren't together anymore. That hurt too much to say though, so I made up lies to cover, it was better that way.

On the drive back home, Kyle had actually taken the time to listen to the type of music I mostly listened to, so The 1975 was blasting through the speakers, him slowly bobbing his head to the beat of Menswear. I was surprised that he liked it being that it didn't seem to be his style, but nevertheless I was happy that we were bonding.

"This is actually pretty good," Kyle noted, "Who knew you actually had some good taste in music?" He was always criticizing my music taste, saying that it was too noisy and loud. I always told him that was his opinion.

I rolled my eyes, a small smile forming on my lips. "All music is good, it just depends what type you like."

"You always have to be so positive." Kyle shook his head. I shrugged.

"Out of the two of us, someone has to be."

As Kyle turned on our street, he let out a laugh. "Okay, but I still say My Chemical Romans was shit."

I scoffed. "First, it's My Chemical Romance, and second, they were not shit. They were a great band, thank you very much." I hated when he talked about my bands, it really pissed me off. I didn't talk crap about his music, so he shouldn't about mine.

"Yeah, okay." Kyle snickered. I decided to just let it go because there was no way of convincing him. Once Kyle got something in his head, it was hard to steer him any other way.

The car began to near the house and to my surprise there was a car sitting in front of the house. I knew instantly who it was, I would recognize the black Mercedes Benz anywhere. Mostly because of the completely noticeable scrath on the fender of the car where he had accidentally driven along a pole. He liked to joke and say that Audrey had gotten her revenge by scratching up his car, but we both knew that wasn't true.

My stomach began to churn and I'm pretty sure I stopped breathing for a few seconds. I didn't know why he was at my house, or what he wanted, but I wasn't sure I could deal with this at the moment. I couldn't even handle the thought of Luke, much less be around him again. Since I had seen him at the shopping center about a week before, I had constantly thought about him and it hurt even more. It was unbearable sometimes, and I hated it.

"Is that...?" Kyle's eyes widened as he stopped in front of the house. I nodded slowly. I wasn't sure if Luke was inside his car or in the house, but I hoped he was in his car. If he was inside, there was a chance of my mom finding out that we had broken up.

My question was answered when the driver's car door opened and Luke stepped out. He looked better than he had the last few times I had seen him. For once, he looked like he had actually taken the time to style his hair and he was wearing his famous black skinny jeans with a striped grey and black sweater, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He looked really nice, but then again, he always looked nice. Luke stood by the side of his car and stared at ours, obviously waiting for us to get out. I just sat there and so did Kyle. I wasn't sure what was going on and honestly I didn't want to find out.
