CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW
After Shemar left, I was confused. My feelings were still everywhere and this baby is making me feel so many emotions. I just wanted Tony. I called him. "Tony." I said as I started crying. "Wha-....what's wrong, baby?!" He said In a scared voice. "Can you come home?" I said as I continued to cry. "I'm already out the door. I'll be there soon. Here I come." He said and then he hung up. I just laid down and waited for him to come.
"Cheryl?" Tony said as he started coming up the stairs. He then walked into our room. I reached for him. "What's wrong?" He asked me. "I need you right now." I told him. "I'm here." He told me as he wrapped his arms around me. "I'm sorry for pushing you away and making everything so hard on you. My feelings and emotions are everywhere right now. It wasn't even this bad when I was pregnant with Cai." I said as I wiped my face. "I know, baby. It's normal." He said as he held me. "I'm sorry for calling you and worrying you at work. I just needed you to hold me." I said as I put my head into his chest. "Don't apologize. I'll leave work anytime to come and make sure that you're fine." He said. "Here....lets lay down. I'll stay until you go to sleep. You need some rest." He said as we laid down. He then pulled me over towards him and I laid my head on his chest. I then got comfortable and closed my eyes.
When I woke up- Tony was gone. I looked at the time and it was time for Cai to get out of school. I'm pretty sure that he went to go pick our baby up.
CAI AND TONY COMES HOME
"Hey, beautiful." Tony said as he came upstairs. "Hey." I said as I looked over towards him. "How are you?" He asked me in a concerned voice. "I'm good." I said as I continued to lay down. "Hey-.....um, I have a question." Tony asked me. "Yes?" I asked. "Where......where did that food come from that downstairs?" He asked me. I thought for a moment. "Oh yeah, Shemar came over earlier today." I said as I looked at him. "Oh, Okay...." He said silently. He then walked over towards me. "Does He come over a lot?" He asked. "Tony...don't start assuming stuff. He's my best friend." I said as I sat up. "I know, baby. Just-....relax. Don't sit up." He said. I started to get frustrated all over again. "I know that your hormones and emotions are everywhere. Just chill." He said. "Where is Cai?" I asked him. He took a breath. "She's downstairs drawing, why?" He asked me. "I want to see her. I haven't seen her since she left." I said. "You and these switched emotions. One minute you want me to touch you and the next minute you don't want anything to do with me." He said. I got out of bed. "Where are you going?" He asked me. I walked out of the room. "Cheryl....really?" He asked me.
"Hey, baby girl." I said as I smiled really big and hugged Cai. She smiled while she hugged me and then started to draw again. I sat on the couch. "What are you drawing?" I asked her. "You'll see, Mommy." She said. I smiled at her while she continued to draw. I then saw Tony come down the stairs. "Cheryl, can I talk to you?" He aksed me. I stood up and went into the other room away from the kitchen. "Listen, I'm trying to stop making you upset." He said. I looked at him. "I just want this pregnancy to be perfect. I want to hold you like I held you with Cai. I wanna make you comfortable and make you happy." He said as he held my hand. "Stop faking like you want to help me all of a sudden. Yeah, you've been doing some stuff around here- I've been seeing it." I said in a harsh whisper. "Cheryl, I'm not faking anything. I wanna be a better husband and father. I told you that." He said as he touched my stomach. I took his hand off of me. "Maybe it's too late for that...." I said. He looked into my eyes and he looked shocked at what I said. I then walked away and went back in there with Cai. Tony stayed in there speechless.
NEXT DAY
TONY IS AT SHEMAR's HOUSE
SHEMAR's POINT OF VIEW"So, what brings you by?" I asked Tony as he looked around my house. "I need to talk to you about Cheryl." He said. I smiled to myself. "What about baby girl do we need to talk about?" I said as I went into the kitchen and left Tony in the living room. He waited for me to come back. "I need some advice..." Tony said. "Oooouuu. I see. What? She said that you're not hitting it right?" I asked him. "No, it's-..." Tony said but I cut him off. "See, you gotta hold it in place and-..." I said but Tony cut me off. "No man. I'm good with that, trust me. She doesn't want me to touch her at all. Then yesterday, she was crying for no reason and she wanted me. Then, the moment she woke up from her nap- she treated me as if I pimped slapped her or something." Tony explained. "Hmmm, Tony- you gotta understand something. Come here." I said as I sat on the couch and pat the cushion next to me. He sat down. "You've experienced Cheryl being pregnant before. Why is this such a big and hard problem for you?" I asked him. ".........she gave me the Vaseline." He said. My mouth dropped. She gave him the Vaseline but she's been giving me that ass. I looked at him. "I feel bad for you nigga." I said as I looked away. "What should I do? Should I try to do some sweet things for her or try to take her somewhere?" He asked me. "Women love to get attention. Maybe, she just wants your attention." I told him. "Right, I do work a lot. Plus, the baby is coming and I need to be home more often." He brought up. "What's the little mans name gonna be?" I asked him. "Little man? How did you know?" He asked me. "Cheryl is my best friend, you know? I find out everything." I told him. "Seems like she's closer to you than she is me." Tony said as he looked down at his hands in his lap. "Oh, trust me- I know her very, very, very well. I know it all." I said as I smiled. "I wish that I did." Tony added. "You do." I told him. "You're her best friend.....tell me, when you were over for Cai's birthday- I mean, did it even look like she wanted me touch her?" He asked me. I thought to myself. "Honestly.....no. She look frustrated. One, because the kids were overwhelming her. Two, because she's pregnant. Your wife IS pregnant, Tony. She's gonna be hard to deal with at time because of the baby. Just do something sweet for her or......I don't know. She likes being held, right?" I asked him. "Yeah but I wanna do something that's new and different." Tony said as he put his hand on the top of his head. "Do this. Take Cai over her grandmas house. It is the weekend so that shouldn't be a problem. Then, come home-...." I said but he cut me off. "I'm on the couch too." He said quickly. "Nigga, you messed up big time didn't you? The Vaseline AND the couch? What the fuck were you thinking? If you say some dumb shit to a pregnant woman- there's no luck for you. Maybe your ass should stay on the couch." I said as I looked at him. "Shut the fuck up. I need you to help me here but.....ugh, I don't even know what to do for my OWN wife." Tony explained. "You're on your own now. If my best friend gave you the Vaseline and the couch- I don't wanna be apart of that." I explained to him. Tony stood up. "Imma figure this out." Tony said. "You have no choice." I said. "Bye, man." Tony said. "Uhmmm hmm. Don't mess up anymore." I yelled. "Let's hope that she even talks to me when I get home." Tony yelled from outside the door. I then heard him close the door.
TONY's POINT OF VIEW
I walked inside the house and locked the door behind me. I saw Cheryl laughing at something that was on the TV. She was watching TV and on her phone at the same time. I took a deep breath and put my keys down. "He-....Hey Baby." I said. She looked over towards me and then back towards the TV. I put my hands in my pockets. "Where's Daddy's Baby Girl at?" I asked her. "Upstairs taking a nap." She said in a plain voice. I nodded and then walked over towards the couch. I sat down next to her. I then held her hand. "I understand how you feel and I apologize. I know that I work and you're at home with absolutely nothing to do. I know sometimes you get frustrated about that. I know that you want to pick Caiya up Sometimes and take her to school or pick her up from school but I got it baby." I said and I held her hand and looked her in the eyes. "You got it......okay." She said. I had a feeling that I messed up again. I laid my head back against the couch and thought about what I wanted to say next. "I miss you. I want you to see that. I don't want to be on the couch. I want to be in bed, with my wife, and holding her. I want to make you comfortable and more." I said. I looked at her and waited for her to say something. "Honestly, I miss you too." She then said. I smiled. "I know that you do." I said as I kissed her hand. "Come here." I said as I motioned for her to come closer to me. She moved over some. I put my arm around her and we got comfortable. "I apologize that I say and do things that makes you unhappy." I said said as I kissed her forehead. "I should be the one to apologize. I haven't been easy to deal with and these emotions are crazy." She said as she held my hand. "I can handle them.....kinda." I said. She laughed a small laugh. "I didn't mean what I said to you the other day...." Cheryl said. "I know, baby." I said. "I've been thinking about baby names." She said. "Oh really? Tell me some or the one that you want." I said. "The one that I've been really focusing on was Ciyle. It's Kyle but I put the C and the I at the beginning and took off the K. I mean Caiya and Ciyle. What do you think?" She asked me. "I love it actually." I said as I watched TV and listened to her at the same time. "Hm, Ciyle. Yeah, that's a good name." I said. "I know because I picked it." She said as she sat up and looked at me. I smiled at her. "I guess..." I said. "I guess? You like it anyways so don't even..." She said as she laughed. I pulled her back over towards me. "Don't move away from me. I told you that I missed you." I said as I laughed. She then looked me in my eyes for a moment. "I miss us." She said as she put her hand on my chest. She then put her hand on my chin and went in for a kiss. I kissed her back. This kiss felt like our normal kiss. No awkward feeling to it but just pure love. The kiss continued to last. After we broke it, she smiled at me. "Why are you smiling?" I asked her as I laughed a small laugh. "I can't smile?" She asked me. "Keep smiling, shit. I'm trying to keep you as happy as can be." I said as I put my hand on her stomach. She smiled as she looked down at my hand. "Every time you touch my stomach, he shifts a little bit. He knows his Daddy's touch." She said as she continued to look down and put her hand over my hand. "I can't feel anything." He said. "Yeah, it's just a small shift. Nothing that you can feel. He kicked the other day though." She said. "When is he gonna kick for me though? Ciyle, one time at least." I said "He will." She said. There was then a silence. "I love you." I said as I broke the silence. "I love you too." She said as she looked up towards me. I smiled because I finally had my baby back.
