CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW
"Okay, baby girl. You've gotta go upstairs and find your paints and brushes. I-...I can't help you right now." I said as I looked over towards Cai standing in the main opening of the kitchen. I was getting Ciyles bottle ready and trying to make Cai something to eat as well- all at the same time.
"I don't know where I put them." She said as she started whining a little bit and started to look frustrated with me.
"Uhm, look on your desk where you draw at. They should be right there, Cai. Come on, work with Mommy while I feed your brother. We're gonna be late already." I told her as I started to rock Ciyle back and forth in my arms because he suddenly started crying for no reason.
"I know, I know. I'm about to feed you, baby boy." I said as I gave him a kiss on his forehead. Me saying this didn't help at all- it just made him cry even more.
"Ugh, Mommy. I need help!" Cai said as she made a face that showed her being upset.
"Okay, listen. Listen to Mommy, Okay? I'll be up there to help you find them in 3 minuets, Okay? I need to finish this first and I'll be up there. So, go upstairs and help me by starting to look for them. I'll help you and no whining, baby girl." I told her as I felt my nerves starting to fly everywhere. So much was going on at once. Ciyle crying, Cai whining and me trying to balance everything at once. It was nerve wrecking.
After I finished giving Ciyle his bottle, he finally calmed down. After I did all of the necessary things that I needed to do with him, I went upstairs to help Cai.
"Let's see if your Sister found her stuff yet." I said to Ciyle as we reached her room.
I walked in and saw her moving stuff around on her desk. She makes the same face that Tony makes whenever he is frustrated. My baby girl is always fussy and I just need her to calm down sometimes. She never knows how to breathe, calm down and be patient.
"Did you find them, Cai?" I asked her as I continued to hold Ciyle.
"No. See, Mommy- I don't know where I put them." Cai said as she almost started to cry.
"Okay, Okay...uhm, let me see. Maybe Daddy put them in your closet?" I asked her but she just sat there in her chair looking like she wasn't even listening to me. She was too frustrated at the moment. I went over towards her closet, reached at the top and grabbed everything that we were looking for.
"Okay, now we can go." I said as I took a deep breath and handed the paint and brushes to her.
"No, no, no, Mommy. Where's my favorite brush? You forgot my favorite brush!" She said as she pointed towards the top of the closet.
Lord, I need Tony to be here but I knew that he had to go to work early this morning.
Speaking of Tony, he called right during that moment.
"Hello?" I said as I put the phone between my shoulder and my ear while trying to reach for the brush at the same time.
"Hey, how's everything going? Have you guys left yet?" Tony asked me.
"We are doing good. We haven't left yet because I've been trying to get Cai's stuff together. She's a little fussy this afternoon." I said as I finally got the brush down and took a deep breath.
