Jessica

"I get my shit back tomorrow so life's about to get a little better," I told my friend Kyle, shutting my locker.

"Are you going to Austin's party?" I asked. He nodded. "Definitely."

The bell rang, interrupting our conversation. "I'll see you later."

I nodded as we walked in opposite directions

"Hello gorgeous," Austin appeared by my side. "Hey," I smiled.

We walked downstairs, both of us having phys ed this period.

"Have you asked for Saturday?" He asked. "Not yet, but I will. I'm telling my parents I'm going to sleep over at Kayla's," I explained.

"Clever," he nodded.

We split ways in our locker rooms. As soon as I walked in, Kayla was by her locker.

I went in to approach her, but was easily stopped by Ashley.

"Excuse me," I smiled at her. Nothing pissed her off more than me being nice to her while she was horrid to me.

Not waiting for a response, I pushed past her shoulder and reached Kayla.

"You need your phone. I have been sending you memes all week and have gotten no response. My heart hurts," she dramatically cried.

"I feel loved," I pressed my hand to my chest. "Tomorrow. I get everything tomorrow."

When I got home, the first thing I did was take Nite for a walk.

I walked him around the block and when I went back in, I gave him food and went upstairs.

I did homework as quick as I could, hoping that it would increase my chances of getting my phone back quicker.

After that, I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower.

I left my face bare, but still used concealer to cover up the light marks along my neck.

"Jess are you home?" I heard Noah yell. "I'm upstairs!" I yelled.

He did that every day that I was grounded just to make sure I was home. It was annoying, but I couldn't blame him.

After that, I blow dried my hair and grabbed my curling iron, creating soft waves in my hair.

"Mom and dad are working late tonight," Noah appeared at my door. "Okay, thanks."

By the time I finished curling my hair, I put hairspray in and heard someone enter the house.

Going downstairs, I saw that it was mom.

"Hey Mom," I began. "Can I sleep over at Kayla's on Saturday?" I asked.
"What? Jessica, you're getting ungrounded tomorrow-" "Please mom, if anything you should let me, because this punishment was harder than necessary."

She sighed. "I'll think about it."

Austin, Friday

After school, Jess finally texted me.

Jess
Bitch got her phone back

Me
Congrats😂

After sending that, I received a call from Caleb.

"Hey," I answered. "You doing okay? I wanted to check up and make sure you're all right."

"I'm fine," I said. "Caleb you won't be back this weekend right?" I asked. "No. But if mom or dad ask, yes."

We talked for a few minutes before hanging up. Just after that call, Jessica FaceTimed me.

"Hi," she smiled. "Hey."

"I'm about to go buy things for the party," I said, grabbing my keys. "Come with?"

"Yeah, pick me up at the corner."

As the call ended, I walked outside into the chilly New York air.

While I waited for Jess to come to the car, I went on my phone, posting about the party on all stories.

When I finished that, a knock on the window brought me out of that daze.

I looked up and unlocked the door.

"I'm ready for this," Jess smiled. I chuckled, holding her hand in mine.

"I am, too."

I drove to the store, where we spent over an hour picking snacks and buying necessities for the party, such as solo cups an tissues.

The cart was just about overflowing with bags of food after I paid.

Everything fit into the trunk and backseat, moving around but not enough to spill or break anything.

"I need to show you what I picked up today," I told her, getting on the road.

"What is it?"

I suspiciously smiled at her. "You'll see," I said.

When we got home, we took multiple trips in and out of the house to bring all the bags inside.

"What did you want to show me?" She asked. I motioned with my hand for her to follow me upstairs, which she did.

Unzipping a pocket in my backpack, I pulled out a clear plastic bag.

"Is that-" "Yes. It's weed."
