I got home about two hours before curfew, glad that I wasn't late. Going upstairs, I went to my parents room to see my mother laying down, but not sleeping.

"Did you think about it?" I asked. She nodded her head. "You can go."

I smiled in excitement, running over to her and hugging her as best as I could, given her position.

"Thank you so much, mom," I happily said.

I went to my room and "packed a bag" for the sleepover, which really just had a comfortable pair of clothes, my toothbrush, and main makeup products.

After that, I grabbed my phone and texted Kayla and Austin.

I will

I went over to my bag and pulled out my sketchbook, working on a piece I've already started.

It was a giant eye, but in the reflection, a city. It's intended to be my view of living in New York, and it was coming together better than I expected.

"Dinner is almost ready!" I heard Dad shout. He was barbequing burgers for dinner. I'm not exactly sure what occasion it was for, but I didn't mind.

I grabbed my phone and went downstairs, sitting on the couch until dinner.

---

It was past midnight and I was on FaceTime with Austin.

"I'm hyped up," I said.

"Same here. I'm counting on others to bring the alcohol because I'm only risking two bottles tomorrow."

He went downstairs to his basement and cleared the ping pong table.

"Why have ping pong when you can bet on beer pong," he winked, causing me to let out a soft giggle.

"Austin I'm going to sleep, I'm really tired," I told him. "Okay, text me in the morning. I love you."

I hid my face from the camera as a smile crept on my lips. "I love you, too. Bye."

--

In the morning, I took a shower to wake myself up, before standing in front of my mirror.

Allowing my hair to dry, I began doing my makeup.

For now, I did it natural so I wouldn't look suspicious as I left the house.

Opening my jewelry box, I tried on multiple earrings before settling on hoops.

The bigger the hoop, the bigger the hoe, I thought, making myself laugh.

Going to my closet, I picked out a black crop top sweater, and dark denim jeans with it.

When my hair finally dried, I put it in multiple braids and flat ironed them, creating waves in my hair.

By the time I finished, it was two in the afternoon. My phone began ringing as Austin's picture appeared on the screen.

"Hey," I answered. "Hey, do you want me to order us up some food?" He asked.

"Uhm.. sure, thanks," I said. "Are you on your way?" He questioned.

"I just finished getting ready. I'm leaving now."

We conversed for another few minutes, and when we hung up, I gathered my things and went downstairs.

"Bye, Mom," I said at the door. "Be careful, bye."

I told Mom I was meeting Kayla somewhere but instead I just walked to Austin's house.

As I rang the doorbell, he opened it and greeted me with a hug.

"You look amazing," he said. "Thank you," I smiled.

He shut the door as we made our way to the couch.

After conversing for a bit, he got up to take a shower. "The payment went through, so if the person asks for money, say fuck off and shut the door."

I laughed at his sarcasm. "Alright," I agreed.

In a couple minutes, the food arrived. I brought it in and gave a tip to the guy, thanking him before closing the door.

A few more minutes had passed by before the water stopped running upstairs, and Austin made his way down.

He had on a pair of black jeans and came down without a shirt, still drying his hair.

"Nice outfit," I sarcastically said. I heard his fake laugh as he walked down the hall to what I assumed was the laundry room.

"After we eat, should we set up or wait a little?" He asked. "Wait a little, we have time."

After we finished eating, Austin brought down a few things from upstairs.

"Have you ever made a blunt?" He asked. I shook my head. "Smoked one?" He asked. I again shook my head.

I watched as he laid weed onto a sheet, then rolled it up. One end was thin and the other was fat.

He handed it to me. "It's like the pen, but stronger. Be careful," he said, holding up a lighter and lighting the thicker end of it.

I pressed my lips against the end, slowly inhaling as much as I could handle.

I blew it out, the smoke dispersing into the air.

This day was going to be amazing.
