Jessica

Tiredness had caught up to me before Austin's forgiveness. Still wanting to talk to him, I sent him another text.

Me
Good night

Me
I love you

Sighing, I put my phone down, and let sleep take over.

I woke up to the cold air of the morning, as I wrapped my blanket tighter around me.

Reaching for my phone, I noticed that it was only 9 AM. School fucked up my sleep schedule.

I still saw no texts from Austin. But, opening the messages, he did read them.

I sat up and called him, pressing the top of my phone against my ear.

When I was sent to voicemail, I was left with two conclusions- I'm still being ignored, or, he's still asleep.

The bigger part of me wanted to believe that he was asleep, so I did.

Forcing myself up, I sighed and dropped my phone on my bed, before getting ready.

After taking a shower, as I was brushing my hair, a ding came from my phone. I practically pranced over to it, turning it over, only to be let down.

It was just an email from school to remind us of homework we had for the weekend, sadly.

Going back to the mirror, I finished getting ready. Putting on leggings and my warmest hoodie, I made my way downstairs.

Mom and Dad were already at work, and I assumed Noah was still asleep since he wasn't downstairs.

I wanted to eat, but I also couldn't get my mind off of Austin. That's when I put two and two together.

I went to the pantry and looked for Austin's favorite snack whenever he came over. Finding it, I put it in my pocket and quietly left the house.

When I sat in the car, I texted Caleb, who was gladly awake. He told me that Austin was still asleep, but that it was okay for me to come over.

Quickly driving over, he opened the door. "Upstairs," he said. I nodded, thanking him.

Quietly going up, I knocked on the door before walking in. He laid sound asleep, with a pillow between his arms, and his body facing the wall.

This boy was sleeping shirtless, in freezing weather. How?

Making my way towards him, I gently sat beside him. "Austin," I called, slowly shaking him.

"What, Mom?" He mumbled. I was taken back as a slight laugh escaped my mouth. "Babe," I said, gently kissing his shoulder.

His eyes opened, and he softly looked at me, only to close them again. "Please talk to me," I said, gently leaning my chin on his arm.

When a few silent seconds had passed again, I pulled the snack out of my pocket, and set it down in front of him. The rustling of the wrappers made his eyes open. It took him a few seconds to realize what it was, but once he did, a smile appeared on his lips as he closed his eyes again.

"I'm sorry," I said, smiling. He turned over, lazily wrapping his arms around me. "I love you," he closed his eyes again. I couldn't help but run my fingers through his hair at least once.

"I love you, too," I said. He groaned and sat up, leaning his forehead tiredly against my shoulder. His arms still didn't leave my waist.

"Can we get food?" He asked. "Please," I nodded.
