Jessica

We were let out of school early today, so Austin and I decided to go to his house.

"How's Kayla and Sofia?" He asked, pulling snacks out of the pantry.

"Uh, I don't know. She hasn't said anything recently, but last time I checked, they were still talking," I said, reminding myself to talk to her about it later.

"How's your dad?" I asked. "Good. I talked to him last night," he said, taking my hand and pulling me upstairs.

"So, are we gonna talk about you getting high?" He asked.

I sighed, leaning against his headboard. "Do we have to? It happened, and it was an impulsive decision," I said.

"You said we'd talk about it," he said next to me, facing me. "I never said when," I shook my head.

He put his hands up, looking at the pack of Oreos he brought.

"Okay, suit yourself. But I won't stop asking until you tell me," he shrugged, looking back at me.

"You're annoying," I playfully said. "I love you," he smiled, leaning forward to kiss me.

I held the side of his face, kissing him back softly.

"I love you too," I admit. "What else happened while I was gone?" He asked, both of us biting into an Oreo.

So much.

I shrugged. "Nothing, really," I said. "Really?" He asked, almost like he was surprised.

"I mean, Nite got a haircut," I said, making him smile. "You're so pretty, Jess," he said, kissing me again.

"You're cute. What's the catch?" I asked. He scoffed, leaving his mouth open. "Am I not allowed to compliment my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Not so suddenly," I smiled, pushing him back as he tried leaning in again.

"Accept my love," he said. "No," I shook my head.

We continued to mess around and tease each other for a few minutes. In the process, a pillow or two were thrown. But nobody was hurt.

"You're cuter," he spoke in a high pitch voice. "No youre cuter!" I mimicked. "No youre cu-ter!"

The second his voice cracked, we both lost it. "I hate us so much," I said after seconds of laughter, still clenching my stomach.

"Why the fuck did they do that shit in movies?" He asked, still smiling. "I don't know. But I guess it was a thing at some point," I shrugged.

Austin and I loved making fun of stereotypical couple things. The 'I love you more' arguments, the 'no, you hang up' phone calls. It made up a good percentage of our humor as a couple.

"It's hot now," he stood up, walking to his closet as he pulled off his shirt.

Getting a glimpse of him like that made me smile again.

Maybe.. maybe I was ready.

I got up and quietly sprinted towards him. Just as he turned around, I kissed him, softly holding his exposed torso.

I felt him smile, as his hands reached my waist.

Should we really do this?

I raised my arms, wrapping them around his neck.

He slightly tightened his grip on me, pulling me closer to him. He was getting the hint.

Moving our lips in sync, he slowly walked us back to his bed.
