Jessica

"Kayla!" I shouted, running after her. The cafeteria immediately filled with whispers and shouts. It was like the video spread within seconds.

Kayla didn't stop running. Austin and Kyle came as well, attempting to stop her. She ran right through the doors, going towards her car.

Austin ran in front of me, stopping me while Kyle continued. "Stop, he's got her," he said. I panted against his chest, looking past him.

Kayla was trying to open the door to her car, but Kyle shut it before she could do anything.

My eyes were stinging. This was my fault. I told her about the party. I lost her at the party.

"Jess, did you know?" Austin looked at me. I looked at him, then back at her.

"I did."

Kayla

"Kayla, stop," Kyle shut the door. I tried turning again, but he grabbed my arms and stopped me.

I couldn't do anything to stop the tears rolling down. I was just outed by someone I didn't even know. Sofia would probably hate me. She was outed, too.

"It's okay," he softly said, wrapping his arms around me. I leaned my head on his shoulder and continued to sob.

My secret was out. Everybody in the school saw it and even if I wanted to, I couldn't deny it.

I can't deny who I am.

"Kayla, is it true?" He asked.

I hated that Kyle was the one who had to ask me. First I rejected him, and now he would know that it's because I'm gay. It would make him feel even worse.

I nodded my head slowly against his shoulder, before wrapping my arms around him, too.

He was in shock, it was clear. He and did nothing but keep his arms around me, but honestly, it felt nice.

After the issue we had, we drifted apart in absolute awkward tension. It didn't change now, if anything, it was worse. But I felt like he had my back. He was there for me.

"Kyle, please just let me go," I said, pushing myself off of him. I couldn't bring myself to look at him, but from the corner of my eye, I saw him slowly nod his head.

"Please be careful," he said. "Okay."

As he took a few steps back, I rushed into my car, not wasting any time to drive away.

Austin

Once Kayla drove out of the parking lot, Kyle slowly made his way back.

"What did she say?" I asked. "She just told me it's true," he said, clearly still thinking about it.

"She's gonna hate me," Jess panted, putting her hand on her forehead.

I didn't have to ask why, the answer was obvious. Jess invited her to the party, and one thing led to another.

"She's gonna hate me," Kyle said. "You're not the one who encouraged her to go!" Jess defended. "I'm the one who encouraged you to go," he counteracted.

"Guys," I stopped their argument. "Both of you, just chill. She'll talk it out with us. It's nobody's fault," I said.

"Whatever," Kyle walked away. "Let's go," I told Jess, who was still crying.

For some reason, I felt like she wasn't crying because of what happened. Not only because of that, at least.

She was hiding something, again.

I gently placed my hand on her waist, as she wiped her eyes in attempt to compose herself. Once we walked back into the lunchroom, those who noticed us didn't take their eyes off of us.

We sat down in silence again, until our attention was caught.

"Can I please talk to the three of you?" Looking up, the Assistant Principal stood by the edge of the table.

The three of us exchanged glances. "In my office," he added. Standing up, we followed him to the office.

If I got in trouble, again, I'd lose my shit.

"Can one of you tell me what happened in the lunchroom?" He asked. We all said nothing. For the most part, we didn't know what there way to say.

"Any of you?" He repeated. Kyle leaned forward after a couple seconds. "There was a video of her that went around," Kyle explained.

"What kind of video?" Mr. A asked. Jessica nodded towards Kyle, the only one of us that had the video.

He reluctantly pulled out his phone and brought up the video. Seeing a mere glimpse of it, Mr. A turned it back.

"Who posted that?" He asked. "They don't go to our school," Kyle said. Mr. A sighed.

He talked with us for about 15 minutes. Luckily, we weren't in trouble. He just asked us what had happened and where Kayla went. We lied, obviously, saying that she'd be back and that she probably went to the bathroom. We couldn't rat her out for so many reasons.

All I knew, was that this would cause a shit ton of drama.
