Karen's POV

"Wag mo nalang sila pansinin." Hani said. As if it's just that easy to do.

"I'm trying. But you can see my situation Hani, I can't even go outside; the reporters are everywhere."

She shrugged and grabbed the last piece of cookie on the plate. "Oo nga noh.  Hay nako, mga tao talaga ang hilig maki-alam sa buhay ng iba."

Of course. Sikat ang Empires, kaunting galaw lang nila napapansin na ng mga tao. Mainit ang mata ng mga media sa kanila.

"So, how's Jerome?" Hani asked. Habang ngumunguya ng cookie.

"He's fine but still broken." Ilang araw ko na siyang hindi nakikita. But I'm calling him regularly to ensure that he is okay.

"Poor Jerome." Hani uttered. "Naalala mo pa ba yung sinabi ko sayo noon? Nagkatotoo diba?"

I nodded. "It's all your fault, nag-dilang anghel ka." I said with sarcasm.

My phone rang. I excused myself to answer the call.

"Hello?"

"I just wanna hear your voice."

"Ang cheesy. 10:50 PM na wala ako sa mood."

I heard him chuckled. "Are you with Hani?"

"Yes, dito ko muna siya patutulugin." Sumandal ako sa countertop since nasa kitchen ako ngayon.

"Lucky her." I face palm.

"Pervert."

"Just for you." I can imagine him grinning like an idiot right now.

"So, why did you call, Mr. Tan?" Nag-cross arms ako. Sumilip ako sa sala para makitang tulog na si Hani sa couch.

"Go outside, Mrs. Tan."

"Sira ka ba? Ang daming press sa labas." Gusto niya bang mabugbog ako ng mga naglalakihang lente ng camera at iba't ibang mikropono?

"Not outside the building, stupid. Just outside your room." Aba't! Inutusan pa ako!

Pero dahil wala rin naman magagagawa kapag nag-reklamo ako, sinunod ko na rin siya at lumabas ng condo ko.

"Nasaan ka---ay palaka!"

"You startled me!" His laugh pissed me.

He began to make his way towards me. Ah... I badly want to tell him how handsome he is but I know Mikko, It will just feed his narcissistic side if I said that.

"I miss you." Napatakip ako ng bibig. Bakit ko sinabi 'yun?

He smirked and stared at me for a minute. "Ah... you're so beautiful." My face suddenly turned into scarlet. Ano bang nahithit ng lalaking 'to?

He reached for my hand and smiled. Ang gwapo talaga! "Let's eat outside."

I stopped walking so did he."What if they saw us?" I uttered.

Nag-fade ang ngiti sa mukha nya.

"But I don't wanna hide you." Tears are gathering in my eyes. He is really good at making me cry.

Humarap siya sa akin. "I want them to see us. I don't care, you're so precious to hide, Karen."
